i would rather see ericsson over stuart. stuart has a great shot but so does ericsson, and it should be fun to see 100+ shots out of him. if somehow he becomes a liability then stuart is a not-too-shabby replacement.

i like the idea of grier, but not sure if id rather see him than abdelkader. grier: is proven, has size, grit, more scoring touch than our 4rth line combined Abdelkader: great upside, played great in playoffs, can finish, also gritty not sure how much grier would cost. wouldnt mind seeing him in the wings uniform, but i think id rather see abdelkader

i was looking at the list of those who were welcomed to the US camp. they looked better than i thought they would, may lack depth though.

hossa, obviously, any team would be crazy to not want him. too bad the cap situation didnt work out... then conklin, wings still wouldve made the playoffs, but he stood on his head and exudes confidence while osgood was shaky. then hudler sammy ... ... chelios

agree, versteeg in front of barker. versteeg has great hockey sense, skill, and willing to get dirty. barker is ok.

hossas points would have been higher except the wings were watered down with talent.

i made all the points to my buddy earlier who is a hawks fan. i gave him that link to that article from the examiner about hollands cap manipulations yesterday (was in another thread). told him tallons going to have some work ahead of him. huet/campbell salaries + hossa + toews/kane/keith getting paid = the rest 4th liners.

i think gaborik, was thinking spacek but who knows. gaborik is a great player, but too prone to injury. the wild system was almost suicide for a player like him. could put up great points though. he has a lot of backing up to do.

Leino would be wasted on the fourth line with draper and maltby, needs to be higher so his offensive skills are utilized. Kopecky was fine on the fourth line (did nothing great but wasnt much of a liability either), but it would be a waste if Leino were there.

if the wings dont sign him (and i dont think they will) i think he would like to sign with a west coast team, since he lives out there.

id prefer malkin 1 and the wings winning the cup
