ive thought since the inception of the one point over time loss/2 point over time win that the nhl should go to a 3 point regulation win, like soccer. it puts more importance on winning in regulation, and i feel that a shootout win is not as good as a regulation win. if this is implemented, i think more teams will go for the harder towards the end of a game. a breakdown of points: 3 for regulation win-0 for regulation loss 2 for overtime win-1 overtime loss same for shoot out as overtime. i would be interested to see how point totals would be at seasons end, and have more separation from great teams, than those who barely manage a shoot out win. any thoughts?

i like kopes probably alot more than the avg person on LGW, partly because hes slovak. that being said i think hes a bit of a bender. he has awkward strides and seems to bend at his waist too much, and has a hard time staying on his feet. i think he does have some skill though and is worth keping for the fourth line. remember the breakaway goal he had last year?

"There's a good chance that the snapshot at Wednesday's press conference will become an avatar for what will be the future ... Zetterberg sitting with Holland and Ilitch and Yzerman, Hossa heading to the exit." I know it's pretty much impossible, but......... What if Hossa likes Detorit so much he is willing to take a Paul Kariya type decrease in salary, as he did in Colorado to play Selanne. Think of the possibilities

i would like to see this as a line on permanent basis. with z and franzens abilities and hudlers scoring touch, i think the line could have success... Ideas?

i, too, am a bit surprised how much i have seen chelis name. i am not sure he is able to play at this level anymore or for a season + playoffs as the case is. i do not think i would want to see him in the line up over lebda, lilja, ericsson, quincy, or meech. ericsson, quincy, and meech have too much potential not to get a chance. lebda and lilja are not great but we did win a cup with them. i think cheli has shown (at least to me) that he is too slow and does not move the puck well enough. no disrespect to cheli, but i do think its his time...with the wings

i feel as though every call he makes is already made up in his mind. he makes calls split seconds after they occur, time that a normal human needs to make a decision. it seems to me that he looks for calls to make against the wings. just wondering if anyone else has noticed this

i suppose a congrats is in order to the classier pens fans, but now it is time to be the toe nail in the cob salad. i just want this cup to symbolie a f*ck you to the nhl as well as versus/nbc for the constant crosby show.

agreed. i have been complaining about all the calls (or non calls) on the ice. sometimes it is hard to watch. it also sucks that every intermission of the games turns into the "'So, just how good is Sid the *****?' Show" annoyed me so much i put on womens softball
