 True I continue to think that he has a great future with the Wings

I don't think Sammy is by any means great but the guy did have 40 points this season which tied him with Homer for 7th on the team. I know he takes a lot of shots and all but 40 points is pretty good for a role guy.

I agree. Guys should go out and shake hands when they have played a hard fought battle like warriors, fought like men, and played hard. I thouht that it was embarassing to our sport, to Avery's team, and to Broduer. I know that there was nothing illeagal about doing it but it was uncommonly silly to do and on The Melrose Line last Thursday they were saying even his team was telling him to cut it out. I think that the handshake is a great tradition that shows the class of our sports and the respect that they have for eachother and it just does not seem to me that Avery earned that respect.

I was impressed with the young guy. I mean its a matter of perspective, compared with Dats or Zetts I'm not impressed but considering he played on the 4th line and only has 7 games of NHL experience before the playoffs and got an assist, was a +1, took no penalties, and just seemed to play well and with composure I thought he did great.
-
Sorry for you Duck Guy but other than that I'm glad they are gone. I don't think you should win when two of your players only want to play half a season.
-
HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa Sorry about that I had I typo that was supposed to be 73% didn't make it. I fixed the probmlem thanks!

Not scared at all. BUT if you are asked to pick between two teams then you want to pick between the two weaker even if you are scared of neither. I think it would not be as difficult to beat the Avs even though I have no doubt that we could be the Flames as well. Unless the teams are exactly the same there is always going to be a preference of one over the other.

1. Dats 2. Lids 3. Hudler/Kronvall Great performance by all these guys. Hudler exceeded what I thought he would do especially on the 4th line. Kronvall was great on D and and put up the points on O. Lidstrom was like he always is and is so good you hardly notice. Finally, Datsyuk played great on D put up 3 goals and 2 assists and was over all phenomenal. I think Z should be on here as well because of his overall great play but these guys just stood out to me.

I think he just means that the two of the three that remain can beat on each other for a long hard fought series and then hopefully which ever one makes it through will be tired after we have finished off the Avs.

They made it to the second round, they have no new injuries. They did it in six games and they posted a shutout while only allowing 1 goal in the final 8 periods (great momentum). We also achieved more than 22 other teams have this year. We got goals from ten different players with multiple goals from 6 of those players. We got 5 points in six games from Datsyuk, Hudler, and Kronvall and a point from all but 4 players. Granted they have a long way to go and lots of hard in order to reach the ultimate prize but there is nothing with a contgrats for accomplishing what 73% of the other teams couldn't. WAY TO GO BOYS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!

A lot of people don't know that it only applies to government. People all the time think that free speech means that they can say whatever whenever they want. I was merely stating that even if LGW's tells people what they can or cannot post it has nothing to do with 1st Amendment free speech.
-
HaHaHaHaHaHa But yet you don't want them to be able to say that people shouldn't rip on their teams so much. It cracks me up that you claim that others are trying to get rid of your 1st Amendment right to free speech (which only applys to the government, not private citizens prohibiting speech) and you don't want then making this post. Hello pot meet kettle.

So true it seems that so many people are so angry and upset that they can't even enjoy the games.

Thats a great picture. Definately going put that as my background.

Red Wings forward Kris Draper said Nashville's Jordin Tootoo intentionally stepped on his back when both were going for a puck along the boards in Game 4 of their first-round series. "Anything he does isn't an accident, plain and simple," Draper said Friday before Game 5 in Detroit. Tootoo wasn't called for a penalty and Draper wasn't injured during the sequence in question Wednesday night in the Predators' series-evening win over Detroit. "I was just trying to get out of the way," Tootoo said. "He was in a vulnerable position. I'm a straight-up guy, I would never intend to do something like that." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/hock...o.ap/index.html (I added the bold to Tootoo's claim because whether or not he meant to step on Draper that statement is no where near true about him in general and just made me laugh.) BTW - Here is the video of the what Draper was talking about - take it for what you will.

It is so hard to tell sarcasm when it is written. At first I couldn't believe that someone wrote this but then I just started to laugh. Great post. :rotflmao:

TRUE - The Wings hardly ever get flustered and even after that late goal came out and took care of business in OT. Great team and a great win.
-
I agree about giving Flip some credit. I thought he was great tonight and capped it off with the pressure to get it to Kronner.
-
Number 49 - I can't believe that they might fine him for this.
-
He just doesn't bail and bash his team everytime that they don't perform exactly how we want the to.
-
I guess it is not so predicable after all.
-
No THEY need a goal. We need to play agressively but not at the expense of any defensive lapse.
-
yeah way to go Flip!!!!!!!!!!

That is from a song by the Arogent Worms.
