the officials in the finals have been consistently inconsistent.

During sportscentre last night they had e quote from max talbot that went something like this "I'd like nothing more than to look Marian in the face at the end of the series and say you chose the wrong team". Anyone else see this? Cant recall if that was exactly the quote. I cant imagine how much booing were going to hear when this series goes to pittsburgh, they really do hate Hossa. Didnt Edmonton offer more money to Hossa anyway?

I'm pretty sure that CBC streams all the playoff games that they also televise at cbc.ca/sports. Havnt watched one on there yet but it might be worth looking into, also not sure how it would work for people trying to watch in the US. go wings.

Just read this on TSN. "Martin Havlat skipped practice but head coach Joel Quenneville says he's fine and will play in Game 2 Tuesday night. Apparently its not a big deal but i don't think that i can recall at what point during the game he would have gotten hurt.

Did it seem last night that Getzlaf didnt seem to play much in the third period, I think the announcer said something like under 4 minutes at one point. (Anyone know if there is a website that posts ice time) You would think that your #1 point getter would be playing alot more. Could it be that he tweaked his knee on that play with fil.(at least i think it was fil). The announcer on TSN said that Carlyle could be resting him for game 5 in detroit but when the score was 5-3 with ten minutes to go that is a more than attainable. Just seeing what you guys think about it or am i just whistling dixie here.

I'm hoping that someone can enlighten me with this one, sorry if its been asked already. So the play is dead when the referee intended to blow the whistle? not when the whistle actually sounds? right? Does it make sense that time should be added to the clock in the event of this happening? Since the timekeeper has control of the game time and not the referee. I guess you could make the argument that this happens on every play of the game. I've watched that play from last night about a dozen times today and if he would have blown the whistle when he intended to compared to when we heard it, it must have been a good one or two seconds, enough for one more shot on net. Not sure if anyone saw the ducks devils highlights tonight but pronger looked to have laid a vicious elbow on parise. I only caught the very end of it so i didnt see it very clearly, anyone have a link to the hit, i'd like to see it a few times and decide whether or not the league is going to look at it.

Any ideas as to what zetterberg will likely sign for next year? I've been watching this for a bit now and do you think he could be the first one to make more than Lidstrom? or would he go for a hometown discount. I heard on CBC's sirius program that they think that he could be the first one to make more than the captain on this team, i also heard that Gaborik is looking for something in the range of 10 yrs, 8 million a season. i dont know about you but i would rather have Zetterberg than Gaborik. I'm also sure that theres no way that Gaborik goes for that. I'm sure that it would be in Zetterbergs best interest to sign now before the economy gets any worse ,cause who knows what could happen next year. It also doesn't help that Franzen is up to.

well everyone the result that we all wanted came through in the end and i loved every minute of it, even down to the last second. this will be my last time on lets go wings for awhile now b/c of summer and what not. but let me just say that this is the best website that i go on, i love to read the topics and replies that everyone says wheather i agree with it or not, thats what makes this so good is that you can say what you want and right or wrong it doesnt matter b/c we are the champions. 29 losers and the wings. have a good summer and ill be back in september. what a great year.

i (and im sure alot of others) are sick and tired of hearing about the refs, obstruction calls and any other topic that is taking away from this series. The fact of the matter is that the wings are the better team and i expect to see it from this point forward. i think we need to focus on what we need to do to win this series, there is no doubt in my mind that the wings will have an answer for everything that has happened thus far, keep in mind that pittsburgh played their best game of the finals in game three and the wings played so-so, and we almost won. so keep that in mind. im sure that we will dominate from this point forward. we dont need to focus on what piittsburgh is doing or saying, we need to play our game and they wont touch us. wings in five
