I'm biased but I didn't think that was a bad call. I watched a highlight video earlier and Walker came in and jacked someone over the shoulder of his teammate - it was a solid and intentional cheapshot. Scrumming is one thing but throwing blindside cheapshots gets a penalty more often than not.

Campbell has been awful - I still think he is a better player than what we've seen in this series but definitely not worth more than 4-5M a year. Chicago has about 20 million in cap space next year with Havlat, Pahlsson and Walker as UFA's. Bolland, Brouwer, Eager, Vertseeg and Fraser are all RFA's. They are going to have a hard time signing any veterans to anything more than 1 year deals because Kane, Toews and Ladd are going to be RFA's the following season. My heart goes out to them...

Havlat should not have been on the ice - even Wednesday would have been too soon. I know they are trying to reach the finals but the guys career could have been ended tonight if Stu had gotten a better piece of him.

The Hawks played pretty good in the first. Detroit deserved to be down 3-0 based on their play - granted without the refs it could have been closer. Just like they now deserve to be tied. They play 60 minutes for a reason...

Meh... Defense wins championships and they have since the Penguins last won the cup. Yes there have been a few mediocre exceptions but their goaltenders always stole the show. Fleury doesn't scare me, their defense doesn't either. If they can get by Chicago and do so in no more than six games the Wings will get 5 days off or more. If they sweep they get eleven monotonous days off before June 4th and rust will their biggest concern.

I don't know about the best but one of the worst just occured a little while ago in hockeysteams.com's chat room. Some Pens fan was belittling Hossa and praying for a Wings/Pens rematch so Hossa's departure could be shoved up his posterior. I countered that I couldn't blame Hoss for jumping ship if Therrien was going to be behind the bench again and he replied with " Babcock is no better of a coach than Therrien". There was more but it isn't even worth repeating...

The Canes were relentless on the forecheck from the end of the 1st period on - they may not get the best scoring chances but no one can question their validity after watching that game.

I agree - the music selection sucks and has for years. Just wait until the games head to Chicago - If the Blackhawks score regularly you will be so sick of the "Chelsea Dagger" by the Fratellis that the music at the Joe will be refreshing.
