Chara didn't have a very good series other than a couple of games, Axelsson wasn't very good, Yelle was subpar, Blake Wheeler disappeared, their power play sucked and the Hurricanes outmatched their intensity...

I just want the league to get it right in the playoffs. They have taken the first step with the goal reviews but the nets need to have more than the overhead and rear view cameras and the intent to blow the whistle crap needs to be reviewable.

That schedule sucks for the fans but is great for the Wings!

In any other situation I'm rooting for the Bruins but because of home ice I was glad to see the Canes pull it out. It will be interesting to see Pittsburgh play against a team that actually plays defense.

Star players have to play like stars and role players have to elevate their games in the playoffs. Flip is playing well but he isn't burying the puck. He has 0 goals in 10 games. Take out the 3 assist game when he moved onto Franzen's line and he has 3 points in 9 games that is not exactly burning up the offensive stat sheet. His all around game is pretty good. Hudler has 6 points in 10 games which is below his regular season pace. The majority of the team needs to pick it up not just Pavel although his absence is the most glaring.

Maybe the Russian mafia has a finger on one of his relatives... Who knows - players go through streaks like this. I agree with everyone that has said other players like Homer, Hossa, Hudler, Flip etc.. aren't chipping in much either. The streaky play from individual players really doesn't surprise me with what we saw during the regular season.

That series reminds me of the 80's all over again. Up and down action with little defense. Same went for the nucks/hawks series.

I would be really surprised if Wisniewski plays but not Getzlaf. 2 days off and a shot of pain juice if he is injured and there is no threat of further damage.

I thought the hit deserved a major because Ovie didn't pull his knee back at all - its not like he was in a checking position. It doesn't warrant a suspension though...
