You are absolutely correct. it is there series to lose. "If" 1) we can get healthy and stay that way, 2) we limit there pp chances and 3) we are physical with them through the series, we can definetly beat them... but there are some big "if's". All i have been reading really is that pens fans beleive that they are a better team than they were last year because of the additions and because malkin and crosby are more mature? I dont think anyone has mentioned the fact that we are the same team as last year. The same team that beat them in 6. (which we all know probably should have been 5) We lost no one (of real value) and now we return with one of their prolific goal scorers in red and white. IF we can get & stay healthy we have a great chance . IF...........

ok ... this is what i think will decide the series... only 3 things!!!! 1) health of the wings *BIGGEST* 2) Pk of the wings 3) physicality of the wings (can pitts handle it ) both teams can claim to match up well on both f/d/st/g guess we will see....

OK i have been trying to find out for a while but cant seem to find it .. If we win tonight then the SCF starts when?? And if we lose tonight the SCF would start when??? thanks !!

I hear ya.. im with you .. kinda like the hockey gods might be screwing with us. To much uncertainty with injuries... i dont know why but ya im really uneasy about this year..

I think what blows me away about alot of the posts in this thread is how you are so quick to dismiss the pens. I am more concerned with the pens from this year then i was last year.. different team different year yes.. but these pens are firing on all cylinders... and we are hobbling into the SCF ( if we can beat chicago *wink*) With so much uncertainty in regards to injuries.. we should be concerened!!!

No i am definitely nervous to play the pens. Right now crosby and gino are playing out of this world and they are secondary scoring from 2 other lines. I know they haven't the calibure that Detroit brings but they still concern me. If history has anything to say then that also concerns me . Last time 2 teams meet in back to back cups and all , and finally.. what concerns me the most is the uncertainty of the health of some MAJOR players. If i knew that the boys were healthy then i wouldn't feel as concerned.. just nervous.. but as it stands .. ya i'm NERVOUS!!! Hopefully Hossa brings us luck.. Cause he left them to WIN the cup.. so he better work his ass off to make it happen!!!

Remeber Cindy crosby last year ( or the year before that ) with the fracture in his foot?? Hopefully Pav's isnt dealing with the same issue. they say its just a bruise.. which could be an amputation for all we know!! We need him to be in.. way to effective on the puck.. regardless if he puts it in the net or not ...he sets up so much. Hopefully we have him back soon

Yes ... will make me feel better. Why blow the whistle when the goalie is clearly down and STILL MOVING trying to find the puck.. its not like Hiller was stationary. It was clearly not over .. but yet some jackass just cost us a game.. In the same sense.. we shouldn't have played like s*** for the first 45 minutes and we wouldnt have been in that position. I would love to look at the ducks Thread to see how they would say it was never a goal. They are always complaining about the league and its conspiracy for the wings to win.
