I'm not arguing that Osgood is better than Brodeur or that Osgood has had a fantastic season. I'm pointing out that people judge Osgood's play on a shot by shot basis. The Red Wings play a puck possession. A goaltender will only see about 15 - 25 shots a game. However, the shots they will see are normally good scoring chances because other teams shoot different than the Wings. Wings will shoot from any angle, no matter what the circumstance. Other teams wait for openings; that's why Wings' goalies don't see many shots and their save percentages will never be high.

So if a goalie gives up a goal, it needs to go straight in. If it hits any part of the goaltender and goes in, it's a bad goal...

that goal was not Osgood's fault. The defenseman left his post and a guy was wide open in front of the net. Then all the players came scrambling back, but it was too late. Conklin wouldn't have stopped that either... ignorant fans...

I remember screaming at my TV during last year's Stanley Cup playoffs when they use that stupid "bumble bee camera" that looks over the zone straight at the goalie. You can't see the play developing or anything. It pisses me off.

I hope someday we get to a point with technology in TV that we can select a video feed and then separately select an audio feed. For example, you can have the video feed matched with the Red Wings Radio announcers, Wild radio announcers, Red Wings TV announcers, Wild TV announcers, or Nightly Blow Crosby s***ty announcers. Someday... someday
