ESPN said that or a commentator on ESPN said that? I doubt ESPN released a media communication stating that they as a company believed the Wings would not make the playoffs... ESPN can't win with some people

He's in Sweden right now; I don't think he's under any rush to make a decision. Some reports indicate that he wants to stay in the Eastern Conference, but I'm pretty sure it's all conjecture at this point.

Howard is not ready for the NHL. He needs to improve this summer and start out in GR. He's not quite there yet.

Totally agree; Wings don't need 'em, but Kenny is a magic man and if anyone could get Sundin or Rolston to sign with the Wings, it would be him. I'm pretty sure they won't come here, but it would be awesome if one of them did.

Amen to that. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone else start another thread requesting that people stop with the ridiculous threads. Some people just have a complex when it comes to posting a story first (or think they posted it first). As if they receive special points for it... My favorite ones are the ones that start out with "I didn't see this posted...". Use the "Search Forum" tool; it's very easy to use.

Along the lines of improving the quality of refereeing: I think the refs should be available to the media after games so they can give an answer for the calls they made.

So far with Bettman as the leader, the opposite has happened. I know, let's put a hockey team in the middle of the fuc*in desert?!?! Or put one in the middle of a cornfield? By no means should we put more teams in Canada or in the North; I mean, people love hockey up there and giving them more of what they want would be ridiculous. And don't allow any review of goals in the future. We want the calls to be fast, not correct. The refs know what they're doing and we should respect their decisions, no matter how asinine they are.
