The Wings didn't let up because the Avs sat back and watched them play the final 2 periods. The Wings can't just play with the puck in their own zone for 2 periods. The Avs sat back so the Wings pushed forward.

Sorry, I'm throwing a BS redcard on that one. If a team comes back down 0 - 3 and wins a series, there will be a HUGE momentum swing for them. It's only been done twice before. Avs momentum was nothing like that.

Totally agree. I would think it's obvious that if SJ comes back to win the series, they would be the more scary team. That would mean they held off Dallas for 4 straight games. Granted they wouldn't be rested, but I don't think that matters much. That momentum would be huge going into the WCF.

There's a reason the Stanley Cup Final is in June. Series are spread out to account for the possibility of every series going to a game 7.

Doesn't matter to me; we should be able to handle either of these teams. If we can't, we don't deserve the Cup. Neither scares me.

I thought the dates were pretty much set in stone. Meaning that if both teams sweep a series, they both get a rest.

Game 7 of round 2 would have been next Wednesday. I'm guessing game 1 will be Saturday. Maybe Friday, but I think they normally give 2 days off after game 7 until the start of the next series

I don't have a problem with an Av's fan hating Yzerman. Do I disagree? Hell yes. Yzerman played on the hated rival of the Avs; can't fault someone for disliking everyone on the Wings that played during that time.

Sorry, I just do. I hate the Avs, plain and simple. I mute the TV when Keith Jones comes on because he used to play for the Avs. I never said Sakic wasn't good, I just don't like him.
