I don't think that there are any rules. You are allowed to call Matt any name under the sun and nothing will happen. Foul language is also encouraged...

We've had enough injuries without people predicting more. No more injuries for the rest of the playoffs!
-
Oh I totally agree. The West has been the dominant conference; however, I still think Montreal deserves to be in the Top 5. Doesn't mean they will make it out of the first round, but after their nice regular season, I'd say they're the #5 team.

That's the list of players that WISHED they played for the Wings
-
I agree; winning the conference definitely puts them in the Top 5.

Is it Wednesday yet? I want HOCKEY!!!

With Tootoo playing against us, I want Downey in the lineup. I love DMac, but I don't think he'd stand a chance against Tootoo in a bout. I'd prefer to see Downey against him. With him in, Tootoo won't be able to get as feisty.

My brother works in D.C. and he has tickets to game 1 with the Capitals... ARgh, I'm so jealous

Ah yes... I must say, being able to drink 3 beers at home for less than the price of 1 beer at the Joe is very nice. Hard to pass that up

Yeah, I just mean I won't be going to a game in each round like I did last year. What annoyed me was when I went to Game 1 of the Sharks series last year, there were a TON of empty seats. If they had lowered the ticket prices by 30%, they would have sold out AND made more money overall. Or do some kind of concession stand deal by throwing in a hot dog or pizza or something. There are ways to get fans to the games and barely lowering prices isn't going to do it... I hope I'm wrong

I went to 4 games last year. I'm not going to a game unless we make it to the 3rd round. Way too expensive. 2nd worst economy in the U.S., I doubt we will sell out all the games. Which is ridiculous; it's Hockeytown for goodness sake. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they lowered the prices this year... I'm just not sure it was enough.

Boston v. Ottawa, Nashville v. Chicago
McCartyFanForLife replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Yes, Ottawa is in. Carolina is in the 9th spot because winning percentage is the 1st tie breaker if teams are tied in points (which they are with Washington). However, the Caps play tomorrrow; if they get a point they're in, if they lose in regulation they're out. -
Yes, that is correct
-
Hopefully the injury bug stops at the playoff door. I swear there's an invisible frickin gremlin hitting our guys with a bat out there on the ice. One of the worst years for injuries I can remember
-
Yeah, no kidding. I'm imagining this end of the season into the playoffs is going to be great for the playoffs. Probably selling a ton of tickets to the last couple games (at least the ones w/ playoff implications which is almost every game). TV ratings gotta be up too.
-
I'm assuming you meant SCENARIO 2 1.Pittsburgh 2.Montreal 3.Carolina 4.NJ Devils 5.Boston 6.Ottawa 7.NY Rangers 8.Washington

Devils vs Flyers and Bruins vs vs Senators are 2 HUGE games tonight. If both the Flyers (only get 1 point) and/or Bruins lose to the Sens, the Caps would be assured of a playoff spot with a win in their last game. However, if the Bruins beat the Sens, the Caps would be guaranteed a spot by winning their last game (tie breaker in points would go to Caps because they'd be tied in wins, but Washington swept the season series). Now, if it comes down to the Bruins and Caps for the final playoff spot (Bruins lose tonight and both they and the Caps win their last game) then it goes to a tiebreaker. The Caps would be in because they'd have the higher number of wins... wow, this weekends games are gonna be fun to watch.
-
Yeah, that SouthEast division is a mystery. Carolina could drop from 3rd to out of the playoffs... their fans would be pissed
-
LOL, a trout. That's awesome.
-
Last thing we need though is our goalie to get lit up right before the playoffs. Hasek needs to get the "flu"... then call up Howard
-
I think Montreal vs Washington would be an awesome series. Huet vs his old team... That would be great to watch
-
Woah, maybe we should get Matt to include a grammar checker along with the spell checker. I may have to google search to determine if I need to use 'who' or 'whom' in the future... Oh, and it's spelled referring, not 'refering'...
