Brown's hit was nowhere close to Brashear's. Having said that, I thought Brown deserved at least a game. Because this hit happened halfway through the 1st, Campbell must have felt that a game misconduct and the major was enough. Hopefully the Wings won't do something stupid and put themselves down a man trying to get revenge. Best revenge would be putting the Ducks on the tee in 4 games.

If the game goes to OT, they will transfer coverage to the Kentucky Derby. The hockey game will then go to Versus.

Brown can be blamed for hitting him too late. If he would have hip checked him, he would have avoided his melon. Brown can give Stuart a call if Brown doesn't know how to do that. The hit was late, he went straight for the head; it's clear cut.

That's all he can do. He can't say Homer did a good job because that would undermine his goaltender and defense. And he isn't about to throw his own guy under the bus. Having said that, complaining about Wings' play hasn't worked for coaches in the past and I don't expect it to work now.

The fact that he wasn't seriously injured should no bearing on the punishment. That's telling players "hey, we don't care if you hit them in the head, just don't make them miss any games" Brown deserves as much as Brashear because the league has warned players about this and if players keep disregarding the warnings, they deserve harsher punishments. Because it was an Anaheim player, the league will only give him 2 or 3 games.

The commercials kinda show how a series can end/change in a second. I was at Game 5 and it sucked more than anything, but it was still a great game AND a great finish. One of the longest OT Stanley Cup games in Wings' history. It's a commercial; get over it.
