    1) Officiating in the entire playoffs has been horrendous. When viewership is increasing (according to the stats at least), the NHL should be attempting to have the best officials in the playoffs. The hypocrisy of "hits to the head" is astounding. Frankly I don't care one way or the other if head shots are called or not called, but if you say that you are going to focus on it, then for f's sake, focus on it. What a terrible demonstration to the first time viewer or casual fan. The NBA makes it claim on relative reffing, the NHL should let them have it.

    2) The Wings lost 4 1-goal games. The Wings easily could have won this series. Did the bad officiating cause them to lose this series? I don't think so, but it certainly didn't help.

    Recall the officiating in 2006-2007 season against the Ducks... the NHL has a long way to go...

    Certainly not penalty worthy. If anything could be called it would have been an illegal change and the faceoff would have been outside. This is all hindsight because the refs didn't miss the frickin net with every shot he took including the last one (Williams). The refs didn't let in the weak 4th goal (Howard). The refs didn't blow defensive coverage (Ericson and Rafalski).

    There's plenty of blame to go around; frankly I don't think anyone escapes blame for this series... even the coaches.

    The Wings have looked ill-prepared and slow. There's no fire, there's no heart, and there's no excuses. Win as a team, lose as a team... and they will certainly lose as a team

    We could use a "long" offseason to get players healthy and be well rested before the start of next season.

    And in reality most teams would love to make it to the playoffs 19 straight years, win the cup one year, lose in the finals the next, and make it to the 2nd round the following year. Yeah it sucks to be down 3 - 0, but at least we're watching hockey in May unlike 20 something other teams.

    Dumb penalty by Ericsson. He was baited into that roughing by a couple baby rabbit punches.

    I wonder if this game will ever be 5 on 5 for more than a minute.

    I also wonder if this becomes a foot race will our tired legs keep us from winning...

    How's that a dumb penalty; the other guy went with him. He's not gonna take cheap shots from their player.

    No, some people don't have the budget to fork the extra cash for a numbered jersey. I wear a blank one to bars when I watch games just in case something happens I don't ruin a nice jersey.
