The offense finally showed up and they needed to but the effort was not the best, if not for Howard that game could have turned quickly. I guess the Wings deserve one like that after all the bad luck they have had recently but the turnovers and terrible penalties have to be kept to a minimum to win these last 3 games.

2 goals on 4 shots and Yotes have outplayed the Wings maybe the puck luck is turning around play better though can't just put it on Howard's back every game

Wings don't deserve any help after last nights game goodnight playoffs

If they were 11th or 12th they would not even have a shot at the playoffs they still do because of Howard although i don't believe they are a playoff team and Howard is the last person in the overall season that should be blamed. Columbus and Dallas are better teams at the moment though, better chemistry, more energy, and just determination to make it. Wings have none of those it is just Datsyuk, Howard, Zetterberg(i guess) and a whole lot of turds staining up the winged wheel.

Don't care about Howard having a terrible game. Wings would be sitting in 11th or 12th without him. In a must win and considering the opposition the Wings should of had a stranglehold of this game after the first 20 minutes..... end of story.

100% agree, in the end they lost to a team of call ups and scrubs, Begin had 2 goals for crying out loud. A lot of teams have losses in which they outplayed the opposition Hawks, Penguins, Ducks, Sharks, Canucks, etc. You know what the difference is? Those teams won on a consistent basis. They didn't allow it to get to "must wins" to play like that and still lose.

Honestly feel bad for Datsyuk playing with the players that he has been playing with, probably losing the love for the game. Wouldn't be mad if he went to the KHL to finish his career. So we can officially start the petition to change the team name to the Detroit Plebians.

Too much... way too much. Takes away the allure and what could have been a tradition becomes something very common. Sucks also because Wings and Leafs would be headlining and we would get to see the Winter Classic 24/7 special but now with 6 of these who knows.

Bobrovsky, Smith, Lehtonen and Elliot have been stealing games for their respective teams as well but the offense has also been better for those teams as oppose to the Wings Couldn't be happier with Howard's play but they will need the offense to show up to make it into the playoffs.

Let's be serious Howard won that game and stole points in the last 2 games. This game should have been way easier than what it was. Offense needs to wake up for the last 6 games.

Could the Sharks make it any more obvious that they are trying to screw over the Wings play like garbage against Columbus and Dallas and try their little hearts out against the Wings like it was playoff hockey classy stuff but i guess it is all that jealousy when the Wings have all this success and the Sharks have nothing... i mean not a damn thing

Predictable. Everyone here knew they needed insurance and when the late PP came up for the Hawks i had that gut feeling that the Wings would not be getting more than a point. How bad is it when your team is up by one but you know they are going to lose the game. This team is a bunch of plebs with the exception of a few players. Brunner is useless during regular play and he has choked in the SO back to back and that was the one thing he was suppose to be good at. He needs to go back to the pillow soft Swiss league. Wings are not a playoff team it is now clear, Blue Jackets deserve that final spot. They have been rolling lately, playing with energy and heart. Wings have two of the easiest opponents you could ask for coming up with Nashville and Calgary if they don't win both they do not belong in the playoffs.

Howard steals a point, was skeptical of him before this season but he is the real deal especially with that laughable D in front of him. Brunner thanks but no thanks can't even do the one thing you are suppose to be good at. Beat Chicago or it may be night night
