Im actually excited to see the progression of Schenn, he was good last year and he will be a force for years to come in the NHL, i think he will be the future captain of the Leafs. The Leafs have money u would think they would spend some being one of the wealthiest North American organizations in all of sports. But the owners know that the Leafs will sell tickets no matter whats on the ice so why not pocket that money. Ugghh kinda feel for the fans but i want that Detroit-Toronto rivalry back.

Lidstrom will finish his career here in Hockeytown, i dont see him ever leaving, he will retire a DRW. Considering Ozzie has 1 more year in him i would like to pick up Nittymaki as a backup, would have loved to have him this year, he was better then Biron and i just really like him. Holmer most likely retires after this season along with Malts....... Obviously i would love to have a Kovalchuk or Frolov but adding a couple guys like Lombardi and Higgins wouldn't be to shabby either and it is more realistic.

Depends on Zherdev, is he looking for money? or is he looking to go to a contender? Either way there are other Cup contenders that can offer him more then we can but he did say the Wings were his favorite team growing up so you never know. I for one would love Zherdev in a Wings uniform, his mentality will quickly be shaped by this organization, I think he would respect the team and coach right from the get go.

Getzlaf almost single-handedly took us out of the playoffs, Crosby was shutdown by Zetterberg and was a none factor in the finals, Getzlaf was not shutdown and until his injury was unstoppable. If Getzlaf stayed healthy the Ducks would most likely be the Cup champions not s***tsburg, imo of course. Which i would have much prefered.
