The Caps did deserve a goal that period it just sucks they got one right at the end of the period right after us. The Caps did take the play to us for the first 10 minutes but we are starting to take over and i think we will continue to throughout the rest of the game. That Caps goal just took a bad deflection, no worries. WHAT A GOAL BY LEINO!!!!!!!!!!! GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with this thread, when it comes down to it he hasn't done much this year and i feel Helm, Leino or Abdelkader would fit in better and it would allow us to keep Hossa, Franzen and Huds.

I will continue to defend Ozzie, he WILL show up in the playoffs for us and play big when it REALLY matters. Ozzie has earned my trust through his play in the Red Wings uniform, idk about everyone else on here but I trust him in the playoffs.

Well we are in a bit of a slump here, nothing to panic over but we have lost to 3 s***e teams in a row. Holmstrom's goal being disallowed obviously swung the game but its whatever. When it really matters (playoffs) the Stars are small fish, i would have been mad if we played hard and lost but we played lazy to start and when we did wake up a legit goal gets taken away from us. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Pasha, Lidstrom, Stuart, Zata (out after 5 minutes in), no cap space to bring anyone up therefore a short bench and we still should have won if the correct call is made on that trip on Cleary in the dying moments of the 3rd. We still pulled out a point with all of this going against us. This is the only game the Poo Jackets win against us this season so let them enjoy it.

Spot on, we didn't show up, there was no drive to win this one, we were uninterested and on several occasions we have pulled the game out by playing Red Wings hockey for maybe 10 minutes but tonight we were short players and Datsyuk going out late didn't help matters. This was a team loss but not a very important one considering we played at about 5% of what we are capable. If we played hard, Red Wings hockey and lost this one then I would be worried but our boys were already on vacation in their minds and didn't make an effort to get up for this one, oh well. The players will rest up and be back playing Red Wings hockey, nothing to worry about it was just one of those games were everyone took the night off. Brutal performance, we played very uninterested, i know you dont really get pumped up to play the Coyotes but at least show up. The Wings were already on their AS break in this one, and i cant be too upset about it since the Coyotes are not a rival team or a team i hate losing too (maybe because we never lose to them) but they played like this game meant nothing, which it did and they payed for it. We need to rest up and get healthy, im already over this one and ready for the allstar break. Rest up and come back strong. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To some extent i would agree but thats not "the hockey game," we could have not had defensive lapses in the 3rd, Ozzie could have saved 1 of the 2 breakaways, the joke 5-3 could not have been called. Alot of things happened in this game that gave us the loss.

WOW! I missed that, he actually said that? The defense was the problem in the 3rd and thats the long and short of it. Ya it would be nice to have that hunger and energy but its funny how we were keeping up with just pure talent, like i said they played at 60% tonight.

^^^ But isnt that what you expect from such an elite player? Which he is but to date he hasn't had that final push. This is by far the best Sharks team i have seen since they became a franchise. Its true anything can happen in any game and or series. Dont take my smack talk all serious, sometimes i just vent this way. Good Game. See you February 25th.

As much as i banter i respect the Sharks and i realize they are our only competition come playoffs.
