Yeah, Ericsson and Ritola were only part of the Black Aces And about Ericsson playing physical, that aspect DEFINITLY picked up this year, he played with a bit of a mean streak, and did play the body a bit more this year, he did lay a couple whoopin's on some guys this year, one Against Rockford that I wont soon forget Ericsson kickin Ice Hog ass I would like him to be a bit more of a Checker in the corners though, he does seem to be more of a playmaker down low than someone who is gonna put another guy through the glass

The only thing I hated with NBC's coverage was the joygasm they had anytime they could even mention Crosby.... My biggest complaint was last night when Franzen was backchecking, DOVE and knocked the puck away from the on rushing penguin player and right to the Wings D-man who inturn made a nice pass and moved it back up the ice, and all the nbc announcers said was, "And Franzen knocks the puck away from the pens forward" On the other hand, any time Sidney Crosby even skated back into his own zone when the wings had the puck, the Announcers made sure everyone knew "WHAT A GREAT BACKCHECK by Sidney Crosby" I mean FFS that was annoying as all get out! Add to that, the utter lack of any kind of Biased pregame, I dont ever think I saw a story/open about the Wings, it was all about the Pens...

Lets go Wings, Put those Pens on the ropes early, and give them a reason to make tee times early!!!

The only real problem I had with the Wings performance tonight was the HIGHLY uncharacteristic give aways that the boys seemed to be giving up.... I dont like the fact that a couple blantant things got missed, i.e. Lids getting bloodied by Staal.... But over all I loved the pressure and Domination we had after the 3rd goal, we controlled the play, and damn if homer doesnt ring it off the post..... Overall I want Saturday here quicker! Lets go Boys, Win it Saturday and clinch at home!

This is where I have to put in my input.... I feel that the Pens have never had to face a line that was both a total SHUTDOWN D line and also the Top Scoring line as well. Add to that our depth lines are adding much needed grit and offense and Im liking the Wings chances

I did chuckle at the end lil blurb about Police hope to be able to pull out of Detroit by 2010...that did make me laugh a bit But speaking of hockey players who are good at Football....we were blessed to watch Big Rig, Jonathan Ericsson kicking field goals of 50 yards here in GR...It was damned impressive, even more so with the fact that it was an arena football field so the Goal Posts are smaller and a tougher target

One of the best was from tonight on Flips goal "Enzo" as the "D-Bag Commander" McGuire calls him says nothing about the fact that Flip broke in, and made a nice shot, but no, says ohh that Shot was a tough save for Turco....WTF A) He didnt make the save, and B) Stop making it sound like we got lucky with the shot!
