So all you have to do is buy the single game tickets on ebay or stubhub and you don't have to buy the second game at all. No big deal. The Predators should worry more about how crappy their offense is as opposed to how many visitors fans are in the building...

No way on earth Parise gets an "A" if we sign him. That's not the way the wings work. You have to put your time in in Detroit to get a letter on your sweater. Hossa didn't get one. Hull Didn't get one. Robitaille didn't get one. Larionov didn't get one. He could definitely get one in a few years as long as he busts his ass for us. That is why Holmstrom wore an A when Dats was out. He rotated with Kronner. I really thought they should've let Stuart wear an A when Dats was down to show him how much he means to this team so that we could attempt to keep him. Its a foregone conclusion anyway. Hurt or not....Zetterberg needs to start working harder. A perfect example was last night when he had a partial breakaway and decided to stay to the outside. He really didn't drive the front of the net and give himself the best chance to score. This is a guy who has scored 40 goals and is pinned to be captain after Lidstrom. I'm very annoyed with his unwillingness to take it upon himself to get this team into the playoffs. Pav is doing it. Franzen is doing it. Homer is doing it. If Z doesn't start doing it....he won't get the chance to step up in the playoffs like he always does. I love Z but now is his time to get going. Didnt he just start making a ton of money this season? time to earn it.

I think the main reason why other fans hate the Red Wings is because of the classic "Yankees Syndrome". To put it bluntly, the Red Wings are so good every year that everyone is just sick of them winning all the time. Basically, they are jealous.

BS...Z had a step on him and could've used his body to protect the puck at least giving himself a better opportunity or drawing a penalty. Watch it again. Either way, Z took the less physical way out and didn't get as good of a chance as he could have.

Stuart has far from a "weak ass shot"! In fact, he has a great shot. Before he was a Red Wing he played the point on the PP regularly. While he does make a defensive mistake occasionally (Backstrom)....He has been very very good since we got him. I'm not saying he is top pair material but he could fill that void until another one surfaces....he's definitely top 4 on every team in the league.

Are you saying $4 million for Jimmy Howard?? no way he gets that imo...maybe 2 - 2.5 on his next deal if he continues to develop...especially with the talent coming up behind him

I think a lot of the injuries are a result of the entire team not having the intensity it needs for the way other teams play against them. What I mean is, every other team in the league plays the wings like its game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals and the wings have played so much hockey in the past 3 years that the team just wasn't staying as focused as they need to. That is when you get hit hard by the opposition and get injured....If you watch Ericssons injury, you can see that he didn't even know Doan was coming until the last second. And boom...he's hurt. Less intensity can also mean less communication from your teammates.... on the flipside...i thought they played more intense last night than most other games this season. They finally controlled the play and I wasn't too afraid when the Coyotes were pushing in the third...just felt like one of those games we were in control of offensively and defensively.

Ummm..yeah thats 8 from the West and 8 from the East. So, it doesn't matter what happens in the east for the wings. If it holds true that means the wings miss the playoffs. I doubt it will hold true this year. But we might as well stop thinking a win is a 2 point jump. With the amount of 3 point games this year....a win really only gains you 1 point. It'll be tough for the wings but I think we'll end up being a 5 or 6 seed.

I agree completely. Meech was absolutely horrendous tonight. He really doesn't deserve to be on the team. and now Ericsson's hurt....so where does that leave us? How come Lebda never gets hurt? Why only our good players?

How do you figure the wings have a "winning record"? We are 11-9-4......to me thats 11 wins and 13 losses. Not a winning record. And thats exactly the problem with the 1 point for overtime or shootout losses...it makes people feel like your team is better than it really is. All I know is that we have definitely lost more games than we've won. I think the first thing we need to go after in the draft is someone who is big, can score, and will mix it up after the whistle. Our team has absolutely no grit. and we don't seem to have much passion right now. and...BERTUZZI sucks balls...he needs to be waived when our injuries come back..

You must have been looking at the first column which is actually numbers from last year...if you go to the second column it is this years roster. That is where you lost the available money.....

Have you watched the games so far this year?? Bert doesn't hit, he doesn't drive the net much, he doesnt get involved after the whistle and he doesn't make the little plays to keep the puck alive for Hank and Pav. He doesn't deserve to play with them until he starts working his ass off like them. As far as I'm concerned Cleary needs to play with Z and Pav. He has earned it and he is very smart with the puck. He also has the patience with the puck that Bert doesn't. Bert really does play like a 160lb softy out there... I say put cleary on the top line, Williams back with Fil and leino (he did look good with them) and put Bert on the 3rd line with Helm and Homer.

Why does the NHL think that people outside of Pittsburgh need to see Crosby so much anyway? The league has a ton of tremendous young superstars and they need to spread the marketing around to make it look like it is a league full of elite hockey players playing at the highest level. Instead, they are trying to shove Crosby this and Crosby that down everyones throats and I'm pretty sure most people are getting sick of seeing his face everywhere. What good is to try to make the "casual" fan only see Crosby? Especially when Crosby's own team even has a better player than him! They need to broaden their marketing to showcase how great the entire league is...not just Cindy Crosby.

Only 1 more win until Lidstrom gets to do what we all wanted him to do at the All Star break......have sweet revenge on Bettman and Crosby for their "rules" changing! I love it! Lets get it done next game boys.....no need to bring the series back to Detroit.

I'd take Pavel Datsyuk over Malkin any day. The funny thing is...Pavel Datsyuk is actually the best player in the world. He Scores almost as many points as Malkin and is ten times better defensively. I'll take Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg over Malkin and Crosby any day. The funny thing is we have Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Franzen signed for less combined than Malkin and Crosby. Its not like we need Pav to shut down Malkin on his own. He'll just be able to help Lids and Raf and/or Kronner and Stuart. It's his puck possession that will help the most keeping the puck away from Malkin. I'm sooooo glad that he'll be back. Now.....everybody that is going to the game tomorrow.......LET'S ROCK THE HOUSE! We need the crowd to push our boys to victory!
