I know that it is unfair to compare players with those of different hockey eras, but I cannot remember a whinier goalscorer. When I was younger, Guy La Fleur was the premier goal scorer, and he was not a bitchy whiner. Neither were the legendary Islanders scorers of the late 70's (see Bossy, et al.). Jagr whined, but that was mostly about his contracts. Really, I might be getting old and forgetful, but can anyone think of a whinier goalscorer/crybaby? Princess Paul? As a side note, from a old defenseman's point of view (career beer leaguer here), it has GOT to feel great knocking him down. I would bet that those Rangers were high fiving about those hits in the room.

I think that Nick will have a lessesned competition, actually. Niedermeir will not get in because of the animosity felt, by the voters, over his part time status this past year. you speak big truth they had to go through two rounds of very physical teams, including an epic OT, just to meet up with the shiny big ball of light that is the red wings. let there be no mistake, the dallas team will be competitive for years to come-they have a good young corps and a good (if not boisterous) brain trust. they showed their mettle, and despite some goonery, i give my props. and i think that we should all chip in for turco's therapy sessions aftet the series is over...("i see datsyuk!!! i see datsyuk!!!..no i don't...ahhh!")
