no man, a guy has to have his priorities set!
-
I know...these guys are real nut-riders. big time
-
I had to pick this week to quit smoking...what was I thinkin?
-
I am predicting that secondary scoring will hit this game...a goal from either Hudler, Draper, or Sammy...just a hunch... This is going to be an intense one today Go Wings!
-
I agree. This is the flashpoint for the Duck's disruption. Also, McDonald was a fairly clutch 2 way centre. Factor in the loss of Penner, and the Ducks lose 13 playoff goals, defensive accuity, and a load of crease-crash. It has only been one game, but the Ducks just seem absent. I am waiting for Captain Stupid to goon it up and get suspended.

I think that it would confuse those Nashville announcers..."it's a catfi...no it's a squid...no...an octo....uh". I'll toss in a six pack of stroh's. I am just glad that Edmonton beef throwing thing is over.
-
lest we forget the legendary Maxim "great upside on that big kid" Kuznetzov or even shawn "wow, he got fat" Burr
-
maybe not, but I am still haunted by another darkhorse goaler-Roloson standing on his head in the Edmonton series a few years ago, when he came from nowhere. It would be on heck of a goon fest, though
-
I agree. He was a great fit for the run and gun era, and one of the best skaters. But he was a product of the time.

I am so glad my provider is Sopcast.
-
That is a concern of mine as well. On the second line, I would have Homer-Fil-Cleary. I like the placing of your 3rd line-Sammy's offensive slumping would be minimized on a defensive oriented line. Although he did show some spark, I would put Huds down on the 4th, especially if Mac does not get up to speed (I hope this is not the case).

I concur

Mike Ricci's si swimsuit pic?
-
anyone else's sopcast feed just go black?
-
Hey be nice, he has been moonlighting as a Keebler Elf
-
I just can't picture Hudler trying to be Mr Bigshot in a pick up bar- "no, really, I play for the red wings" "no you don't"
-
I have a hard time believing that Sean Avery would use the word "defamatory".
-
jeez...It might be the new jerseys, but he looks like he is wearing those huge, Ulf Samuelsson type shoulder pads. He is one stout mule. I am man crushing
-
Getzlaf is a day to day with a "sore" shoulder.
-
my unquantified observation: Datsyuk's agility gives him the ability to avoid many direct body checks-much like Federov in his earlier years-so he avoids some wear and tear. Checking Datsyuk is like trying to give a cat a bath.

good points-and yes I am thinking wishfully, but I think that the loss of McDonald hurts them the most. And I think that I was afraid of Penner more than Bertuzzi. They are dinged up a bit, as we are.
-
I also think that those quacks from Disney are prime for an upset. They seem to be lacking that 'flow' that made them so deadly last year. In addition to your points, I would also add that they lost some key components of last year's run. Andy Mcdonald-2 way and clutch as hell Dustin Penner-at 6'4, 245, he was a load of crease crash. Those two combined for 13 playoff goals. They did pick up Bertuzzi, but...whatever...he just glides and sneers nowadays (hey, I'm Todd, I almost killed somebody and now I have issues...my back hurts, leave me alone). We have our weaknesses too. But I am feeling good about our chances against the big dogs.
-
I second your 'dumb little theory'. we were pre-occupied. the sooner we clinch the better, imo. we looked a lil tired.
-
yeah, right after they bring back that glow puck...leave those smiling talking heads with perfect hair for the teams in florida. Give me mickey.
-
I think that we are very fortunate not to have a clash of egos between dats and z. I do not get the impression that there is some prissy infighting there, no resentment, as in Federov hated being eclipsed by Stevie. We should have an "Anders Ericsson vs. Maxim Kuznetzov: the classic battle". or not....
