I personally go into these games expecting a loss, with bad officiating, disallowed goals ect ect. No suprise really, not that im blaming the loss entirely on the calls or lack of calls... i.e the 4 minute major high stick that should have been called on staal when he clipped lidstrom. Hell if that was the nhl's poster boy crosby, you can bet your ass everyone in the arena including the refs would have seen that including the 5 cameras that follow crosby around the whole game. Also you can't forget the Crosschecks to the neck and back and interference's on holmstrom which eventually led to him leaving the the game... But the red wings still had lots of chances and pp's and couldnt score.

"CROSBY crosses center ice with the puck!!!".... OH BUT THEN HE LOSES IT......." WHAT A PLAY!" Ha i actualley like the wings better getting no attention like crosby does.

I wonder how much crosby or malkins broken stick at the end of the game is going to be worth?

If the malkin line and crosby line take over and win game one, in a significant way. Split up datsyuk and zetterberg Datsyuk, filpula, holmstrom franzen, zetterberg, hudler Also split up lidstrom and rafalski Lidstrom,Stuart Kronwall,Rafalski And again thats only if the wings second line can't stop the malkin line, Or who ever the second line is matched up against.

Detroit devleops their players. Had datsyuk, zetterberg, hudler, filpula ect been drafted by other teams besides detroit i dont think they would be nearly as good as they are today. Not taking anything away from them, but detroit does the best job at developing players.

Wings need to pick up a offensive right handed forward in the off-season. Maltby, mcarty, and of course samuelsson are obviousey not really the best offensive guys. Samulesson only gets the ice time because of his right-handed shot, but obviousley he has some sort of offensive skills, since babcock one of the best coaches ever gives him so much ice time, but he doesnt have second line skills.

I think its if the player impeeds on the goalie getting to the puck, just my guess though.

Actualley i never said anything to the stars fans, just saying the refs are blowing calls, obviousley its on both sides. Maybe in the reg season its ok, but in the conference finals these guys should be at home watching the game and studying for the day they get the honor to officiate a playoff game.

Even though detroit was robbed two goals, they still did not score on many chances they had. Datsyuk and zetterberg were the only offensive threats that game, second and third lines of the wings were quiet. They need to pick it up.

Can someone who actualley is an NHL expert tell me why those disallowed goals are not ******* reviewable? Second, what the hell is the point in even having a crease if you can get called for interfence without even being in the crease?

Datsyuk | Zetterberg | Holmstrom Franzen | Filppula |Leino Cleary| Draper | Maltby Hudler| Helm | Samuelsson Hudler/helm chemistry reminds me of an early zetterberg and datsyuk duo Drake retires, mcarty leaves/retires w/e. Kopecky and Abdelkader a healthy scratch, both perfect subs for 4th line. Downey stays. My hopes atleast. I don't see why the wings would sign a finnish star to a 1 year contract just to send him to the minors, only to lose him next season. Doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me.

Seriousley the best coach in the NHL right now, wouldnt say best of all time but babcock is the man.

Don't know if this has been posted, but this year the wings scored the EXACT amount of goals that they scored last year. 252. Last year it had them ranked as 10 overall in goal scoring, this year its ranked number 3. I only looked up this stat because i was just thinking about the players the wings lost after last year, lang, schiender, calder, and bertuzzi's 15 reg season gp. Kinda amazing how many players really stepped up this year to fill the gap, after only aquiring one real scoring free agent in rafalski.

Colorado has such a stacked team, and yes starters being injured is a big blow but with so many star and super star fowards in their line up they should be able to get around it. There super stars, sakic and stasiny need to pick it up. Anyways im a wings fan and yes i want to see the wings win but i also want to see a match-up against a 90-100% healthy colorado team. Hopefully we'll be able to see that before the series ends.

Think you made a mistake, theres two datsyuks on the first line. Also doesnt hudler usalley play with helm and mcarty on the 4th line, and drake plays with draper and cleary on the third line?
