Thats very true, but can colorado go 4 lines? Im pretty sure cleary gets moved from 2nd line to third line quite often, and all 4 lines on the wings have shown they are able to score. I havnt been watching the avs, nor have i paid much attention to their third or 4th lines, but were they scoring against the wild? Plus keep in mind stastny only had one point in their series against the wild. Yes all 6 of the avs forward are known 'stars' but that doesnt mean their all going to be 'stars' against the wings.

Best part was when datsyuk made that one time pass to zetterberg and scored against nashville, and melrose claimed zetterberg should have had a penalty for tripping the guy with his knee. Idiot. Maltby has never been known to score, but any true wings fan knows kirk brings more to the table than just scoring. If you really need someone to tell you what he brings to the team, then you just need to stop posting here because you don't know what your talking about Anyways if maltby is not good any more than i can count numerous wings who are not good any more or never really were good (scoring wise) that need to be scratched for him. Especially against a team like avs you need maltby in the lineup. Babcock also puts samuelsson on the second line, maybe he does play to win but his line up choices are sometimes controversal

Sorry im a huge wings fan but colorado has the clear edge in forward skill, depth energy and speed wise. How ever that doesnt mean their all going to perform what their expected to, i.e statsiny getting 1 point in the series against the wild? GL getting them against a team like detroit. Playing a red wings defence who works as a 5 man unit who allowed the fewest shots against in reg season and fewest in the playoffs and i think who has the best coaching in the league is a whole different competion than what the avs faced against the wild. That being said i don't think the avs can rely only on their forwards to score goals against the best defence in the league. Also the fact that colorado has to put sakic on their blue line due to their lack of skilled defensmen is a huge advantage for the wings and i wouldn't be suprised if datsyuk or zetterberg pick up some short handers..

Hahah honestly, any singing after a goal by fans is just simply *** and makes me want to change the channel immeditely. Hopefully it doesn't sound so corny in real life at the actual game, but out of the t.v it makes the fans sound like 17 thousand f ups auditioning for american idol. I love the wings but if you think the wings are going to beat teams like stars, sharks, calgary, colorado or anahiem for that matter with the way hasek is playing then your love for hasek is really blinding you. This is why i don't think wings are going to win the cup. Yes hasek plays ok but hes still giving up soft goals. Soft goal or not hasek should be making those saves. Every team in the west makes mistakes and every team has a goalie who makes up for them. Every time the wings make a mistake hasek seems to be unable to bail his team out. Hasek gets paid to stop those shots, especially in the playoffs and hes not. As said by the commentator. And every goal can't be blamed on the defence. The goalie is the most important position in hockey and hasek is not making the saves he should be in order to take the wings all the way. Anyways those 20 foot away goals are absolutely annoying. Ozzie needs to be the starting goalie.

Come second round, how are the match-ups decided? Like assuming detroit beats nashville. How is it decided who they play in the second round?? The winner of the cgy/sharks series, avs/wild, or stars/ducks? Is it who ever was the lowest seed? Or what? I never understood how these are determined. Any help would be great.

Sorry i don't care what anyone says, wings aren't going to go anywhere with their goaltending. Soft goals or not osgood and hasek both need to pick it up. Wings drasticly out-shooting their oppenents every game and still losing just isnt right.
