You guys are talking like red wings will be 100 % healthy the rest of the season and the playoffs. I hate to say it but what are the odds that someone in the top 3 lines will get hurt? Not that i hope it will happen but come on, it might. Anyways they need muscle in their line up thats downey. They need secondary scoring thats samuleson. Whos left is kopecky and i think it'll be him. I don't think babcock will sit drake, despite his lack of scoring, he has expeirence. . Aside from that like i said above the chances are they aren't going to have to healthy scratch anyone, and will just rotate people due to injures.

Your list is pretty much the top 17. But i'd take Datsyuk, Ignla, Zetterberg line over any combination of 3 of the rest of your list. Was looking forward to seeing them play together at the all-star game. A shame zetterberg couldnt make it. Edit: spelling

Sucks for the avs they have so many good players with their top 6 guys but just about every one of them have been injured. Would have been nice to see the wings play them in the playoffs

Parros is probably the stupidest enforcer in the nhl. I laughed at him when he used his 30 seconds of ice time to give his team 7 minutes of penalty kill time. Boo hoo, pronger hits people in the head with his elbow and uses his stick like a weapon. I think he can handle at little jab too the chin.

As i read through these posts i swear every one of these topics came too my mind after seeing the past 3 duck games. I was talking too my friend abouts gigueres oversized pads a couple weeks ago.. Anyone know his height and weight without all his pads? I just can't imagine players trying too put that puck past him from more than 5 feet from the net. Anyways Im from san diego and we get all the anahiem games, and its like almost every game the announcers seem to talk crap about the other goalies having such "huge pads" and im sitting here thinking how are you going to say that about cujo, gerber, ect whos pads are tiny compared to gigueres ridiculousely sized pads and not say one word about the size of his pads. I kind of disagree, Senators got a penality for high sticking when the glove not the stick hit the face of kunitz. Kunitz retaliated with a few jabs and got nothing. Ottawa's coach had a front row seat of the whole thing, and i don't blame him for giving it to the ref for not giving the ducks a penalty also.

Would be a really stupid decision to take downey out of the line up in the playoffs. Wings are going to need enforcers like downey, mcarty, lilja to go after all of the cheapshot anaheim duck players when they go after datsyuk/zetterberg/nicky/homer We saw what pronger did last year getslaf/pronger/may/parros/perry all need to be put on there mules. And If those 3 wings aren't in the lineup ducks will play dirty. just like they always do. Although having kronwall/stuart and lilja on d will probably make the wings just as physical as the ducks will be.
