Im assuming they base this off NHL 10 player ratings. And if so it makes sense. The ratings are a complete joke, The Red wings are one of the slowest and most under-rated teams in the game. As for Pittsburgh ratings... well you get the deal.

And the finals PP opportunity stats doesnt tell the whole story when you account the little immature stunt the penguins pulled in game 5. 12 penaltys including 4 game mis-conducts in the third. Sorry you can tell me im bias, and yes i probably am but i don't believe the finals was called fairly at all. Plain in simple, anyone who watches play-off hockey knows what im talking about. I still don't like the idea of him playing on the third line the whole year.. I predict he'll get around 45-50 points, with 30 assists. But if him an leino can get going we'll have 3 scoring lines 1A, 1B, and 1C.

Refs/league will favor them, plain in simple. I still don't buy the whole turnaround last year they had late in the season, and after watching their games during the playoffs and seeing the stat "least penalized" team it just doesnt add up for me. Ducks/Bruins/Wings were all better teams than the penguins last year.. in my opinion so was the caps if you break down that series. Im so sick of seeing refs make the"its the red wings what the hell" calls but let penguins slip on soo many things. Its BS and theres no reason to believe that any of it will change this year..

Bottom line in the next 5-6 years filppula will undoubtedly be a first line player. Unless some fluke happens. And any first line player on the wings will be capable of those kind of point totals. I think hes capable of being a first line player next year. But when you have datsyuk and zeterberg on your team your never going to get that chance to be the go to guy. Try putting a guy like spezza, or savard on our third line with third line ice time and a PK role and see if he can break 80 points. Its just not going to happen. And although i dont think he'll hit 80, theres no logical reason why anyone can say can say its not possible. Anything can happen. Filppula has shown the skill but has never really "broken out" as a true star. Who would have thought franzen was capable of 40 goals a couple years ago? Like i said its all possible.

Anyone remember when eddie olzchek said that hossa needs to be the zetterberg of last year for the wings to go all the way? Anyways that statement was very true since that was hossas primary role. But hossa isnt zetterberg and didnt even come close. Zetters will be the go to guy once again this year as long as he stays healthy.

Yeah thats what i was saying but still, they are human beings like us. If you know what i mean its like some angry kid with an attitude doesnt like his situation so it f***s with your career. Like i said its all part of the business but it would be really annoying to me if it were to not work out in Ottawa.

I dont get how players specifically michalek and cheecho cannot just absolutely hate heatley for this. I mean imagine how much this has changed their life just because a player with an attitude did not like what team he was on. I realize this is every day NHL business but i was just thinking how pissed off i would be if i was in their situation. On the other hand though i think cheecho might be happy to play in a new environment.

Top 2 in playoffs maybe, but only top 10 in regular season. Hes gotta be alot more consistent with big hits in the regular season to be considered number 2 in my opinion.

I personally dislike playing against other red wing fans, they seem to have more knowledge than the average fantasy hockey player. Plus i never get any of my fav wing players, and they always know about the up and coming guys like leino ericsson who no one else usually know about. I'd still be down to play though.
