Hal gill gets away with interfering our forwards every time hes out there which is the only thing that really annoyed me about the call.. Agreed, and babcock also knows there will be no hesitation from the league to give him a 10,000 fine if he says anything directly bad babout the refs... Classy, and smart man babcock is.

I saw this too, they also mentioned the pens might have played their worst game of the series last night.. Anyways I find it hard to believe that the young penguins are the least penalized team in the playoffs. Thats just not possible. The events in game 3 is a normal occurence in the NHL, me and my buddies knew the wings had no chance to win this game, all 4 of us have been watching playoff hockey for years.... the refs just weren't going to let them go 3-0 in the series... But its not just the finals... throughout the playoffs game 3's have been called like this... the team leading 2-0 will naturally get the s***ty side of the calls in the third game. It happen in game 3 anahiem, (series was tied 1-1) and game 3 against chicago... Whether bettman is behind it is beyond me... But for those of us who have been watching NHL for years, know that the events of last game is no suprize...

Should be iginla, richards and lidstrom. Dont know how the hell crosby is known as a respected leader..

Hes made it clear that another reason why he came to detroit was to learn from the best players in the world. That could never happen in pittsburgh, not ever in a million years. Hossa also has to work 20 times harder in detroit then he would have to in pittsburgh. In pittsburgh he would not be critized if he didnt back check at all. He also wouldnt have to be killing penalities on a daily basis. Sorry that Hossa choose the best team in the sport, rather than stay in pittsburgh and be known as "crosbys winger" for the next 5 years. Does that make him a jerk? Only to you cry babys.

Facts are the pens are the least penalized team in the leauge.. I dont deny those stats, but i highly doubt the legitimacy of it. Anyways i highly disagree with the refs calling games so tight. How many teams have lost in the playoffs due to stupid power play goals/ momemtum shifts, do to very very weak calls. Why is it ok to make bull s*** calls during the entire season, and during the whole playoffs, but not ok to make a bull s*** call during the finals? Besides the refs job might be on the line if that call decides the result of the game?

Like someone else said, you want people to feel sorry for the pens? If fleury cant make big saves, or if crosby cant finish those chances then your going to lose, especially against the best team in the NHL. If either of those big plays dont happen, chances are the pens are going to lose 9 out of 10 times. You cant expect the games to be identical to last year. Anyways it can be different every single game from last year. Fact of the matter is the pens are not winning games. The pens can play 20 times better than last year, but if they cant come out with the W 4 of the next 5 times, the pens and their fans can think how it could have different all summer long.

Letting him center the fourth line on pens home ice would be a nice even if hes not 100%. Not taking anything away from matlby, but theres a reason why pavs is up for 3 awards this year.

Fleury gets paid 6 million a year to make those saves.. Osgood on the other hand gets paid 1.2.. Its funny which goalies turn out to be clutch come playoff time.. Anyways thats how winning teams score in the playoff, garbage goals...not by making pretty plays against s***ty defence. Young crosby and you young pen fans will learn that some year...welll maybe... Pens still had plenty of chances but couldnt finish, oh well..

If he comes back babs will most likely let him center the fourth line till he gets back into groove.. When the series shifts to pit, the fourth line needs to be a little more stable..

Did you see hossa's reaction after that goal? He might not be the biggest factor but i'd defintely expect for him to be playing harder then any other red wing player.

Just like last series, i dont think the big guns are going to do the bulk of the goal scoring. Like last series it wasnt kane and towes.. it was Sharp and havlat. This series names to look out for... Satan, kunitz, fedotenko.. I have a feeling they will be more likely to score bigger goals than crosby, malkin or stall... Same thing could be said about the wings... expect a big series from filppula, hudler, cleary, samulesson, helm... Thats not even mentioning the wings big 4 (Z,H,D,F). I think the wings just have too much depth and crosby and malkin are going to have to learn to score against the best D in the league, that means scoring those garbage goals.

I heard he was a healthy scratch, and i also heard he might be injured... Whats the reason for him not being in the lineup? I didnt get a chance to watch him this year but is this not a big blow to the pens depth?

I cant help to notice kris letang, he stands out on that team to me, even over gonchar... The way he moves the puck has red wings draft pick written all over it... and hes the only player currently in a pens uniform that i hope to someday become a red wing... I doubt it will ever happen though...

Hard to believe he could be that bad, with all this hype about "experience" for the pens, hes not even good enough to make the fourth line? Especially with his decent scoring touch you'd think he'd be in there... Or maybe i might be churching him up a little to much as i havnt watched him play a single game this season.
