Lang and Schneider are for sure goners. As for Malts i say let him guy and replace him with Scott Hartnell, who is 12 years younger and more effective. Also we'd be taking an intricate piece away from nashville as wel.

Holland is without a doubt the #1 GM in the NHL. He has successfully rebuilt a franchise without actually having to go through any rebuilding like seasons. He (with help from scouts and other people) has found Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Kronwall, Lebda, Franzen, Filpulla, Kopecky, Hudler, Cleary, Samuelsson... and more to come with Grigorenko, Howard, Kindl....

yeah, http://onthewingsblog.com/category/igor-grigorenko/ here is another interesting one too.. http://www.russianprospects.com/public/art...?article_id=364

also two young free agents that i love- Vitaly Vishnevsky, and Cory Sarich. but it would be difficult to sign them with my lineup

my dream for next year. Only thing different besides resigning everyone is Scott Hartnell. The guy is only 24 years old and is a free agent. Hartnell plays a perfect style. He's very physical. He is versatile to play every forward position. I would also try and trade Samuelsson for like a 3rd or 4th round pick to unload his salary to have more room under the cap to maybe go after a goalie or defensemen at the deadline. Tomas Holmstrom 2.25 Pavel Datsyuk 5 Henrik Zetterberg 2.65 Kyle Calder 2.2 Valtteri Filppula .71 Todd Bertuzzi 5 Scott Hartnell 3.5 Kris Draper 2.128 Johan Franzen .941666 Igor Grigorenko 1 Jiri Hudler .7 Dan Clearly .6625 Mikael Samuelsson 1.2 Tomas Kopecky .75 Nick Lidstrom 7.6 Danny Markov 2.5 Nick Kronwall 3 Brett Lebda .65 Andreas Lilja 1 Chris Chelios .85 Kyle Quincey .5 Chris Osgood .85 Jimmy Howard .75 46.4

wings are buzzin... calder is always around that net makin s*** happen... what a trade

Kopecky does indeed play with grit. He is all heart out there and he flat out hustles. Yes Samuelsson can score in the regular season, but come playoff time i bet Kopecky scores just as much as Sammy because sammy will disappear. Samuelsson is very easy to play against. We don't need players like this which is part of the reason we traded Williams for Calder. Williams is a pansy.

Crymson, Kopecky is way more significant Samuelsson. I actually think the wings are better off with out Samuelsson. His style of play is not made for the playoffs. The wings have too many soft guys that arent difficult to play against. Datsyuk, Filpulla, Hudler, Samuelsson.... You can only have so many of these kind of players and Datsyuk and Filpulla are all thats really necessary for our success. Kopecky on the otherhand has speed, and is gritty. Kopecky would be perfect for us on the 4th line.

i just started getting into using the monthly schedule wallpapers. any idea when march's will be posted?

The wings need to bring up Bootland for the rest of the regular season. I am fed up with all the liberties being taken on red wings players. i counted 5 last night. Datsyuk, Maltby, Franzen, Hudler, and Lebda. In the playoffs this shouldnt be of a problem but as of now we need someone to stick up for our guys.

not even mad about this list. all i can do is laugh.

i like rmac's as well, unless kopecky is ready to go Holmstrom - Datsyuk - Zetterberg Calder - Lang - Bertuzzi Maltby - Draper - Franzen Cleary- Filpula - Kopecky would be ideal Samuelsson is to much of a streisand to have and impact in the playoffs.
-
man do we need someone who can stick up for our guys... it is embarrassing watching guys shy away from hits/back down from fights.

I forsee Phoenix falling out of contention, and with our need for a winger i have a feeling that Shane Doan maybe wearing red and white come trade dealine time. Shane Doan will be a free agent next year so i think Phoenix would be willing to part with him if they are out of the playoff hunt.

I have a friend in Saginaw and i went there with him to see the Spirit play the Rangers just so i could get a preview of these guys. Kindl- He looks to be a solid defenseman. He had a goal that just made me say wow. He was on a rush and was just at the top of the right circle and he fired a one timer off balance and scored. Kindl has a nice shot, he plays physical, has good angles, good size, decent speed. However i did notice he isnt the best of skaters. He kind of looks a little awkard when hes skating. Also probably not his fault but on powerplays he had plenty of oppurtunities to let his shot go from the point but he kept passing it away. McGrath- Evan is a heck of a player at the OHL level. I dont know if that means he will be a good NHL player but i could see him making a similar impact to michael richards in philly. McGrath is a great passer. he set Kitchener teammates up with great oppurtunities about a half dozen times. McGrath is really fast and he made some Datsyuk like moves. One time he was on a 1 on 2 and amazingly danced around them. He also got on an all out break-a-way but missed, and another partial break-a-way and missed as well. McGrath has to be in some amazing shape because he is litteraly out there more than half the time. Hes a great skater and i am very excited to have this kid.

Should this be Wings fans favorite team in the OHL. Heck it seems like we draft a Ranger everyyear. We have Evan McGrath, and Jakub Kindl i know this is the OHL team i will be following the most next season.
