Ha ha, that's funny. It took me a second to get it, though.

I've played a bit of hockey in my time, and I'm completely baffled by this one. I've played with guys (that just sounds weird) that weren't very well liked, but to try to intentionally injure a teammate doesn't make sense to me. We would not hesitate to get a player's back during the game. Even at practice when it was just us, it was about conditioning and practice, not payback. I'd be surprised if this was true, but I don't know for sure. I'll certainly be watching this thread to see what others have to say about it.

What's funny is that I thought it was going to be St. Louis, the team. Then saw a Tampa Bay garbage can, and I was like "WTF?" It took me a second to realize who it was. Duh! It was cool to watch, though.

I noticed that too. I always find it odd that someone laughs, even if it is an "LOL", at someone else's misfortune. Even though the guys don't play for Detroit, injuries can really screw a guy over. I hope they both recover quickly, and then return to ruin any momentum their teams may gain while they were away. By the way, I did post in the Gonchar thread (something I found slightly amusing), but it was poking fun at Cindy.

Apparently the team is just devastated by the loss. The whole organization was unable to talk to any member of the media. When finally cornered after a morning skate, Penguins Captain, Sidney Crosby, had this to say.....

It's win/win. Nylander gets to condition with a team. Hershey doesn't have to bench players that could use the ice time. Griffins get a skater to cover guys like Abi. I guess that makes it a win/win/win situation. I get it. It's cooperation between two organizations, and when/if the Red Wings need a solid sometime, the Caps will be there to help...hopefully.

Maybe they aren't as good as they think they are. Maybe it's attitude or personality. Who knows why the numbers turn out the way they do, they just do. It's another case of a French-Canadian whining that they don't get what they want, and they are always being picked on just because they are French. My father's family comes from Quebec, and I grew up listening to all the stories about how they go screwed over because of it. Distinct Society, my ass! Try going to Quebec and not speaking the language and see how well you get treated. I lived there for about a year and a half, only speaking English except for swearing, and you get treated like dirt, if you're lucky. I don't buy it. Most French people I know have some kind of superiority complex going, and there is really no reason for it. Add to that their ability to play the "one upmanship" game, and their value as people in my life goes in the tank. /rant

Thanks! If it weren't so expensive, I'd go again next year to see the other half of Disneyworld. We were there five days, and didn't get to see everything. I've got too much of a girlie-belly to do Space Mountain, but I rocked the s*** out of Aerosmith's Rock n' Roller Coaster.

I'd buy that plaque off someone who gets one. It would look cool next to my Stevie Y rookie card!

I'm still trying to figure out if the OP had something in mind, or if he was just bored. I don't see any really big goings on coming at the trade deadline. It would be a nice change, but I just don't see it coming. It's still too early for this s***, anyway.

Thanks, Loo. I just showed the girls, Parris (the taller one) and Sheridan, that I posted those and they got a kick out of it. We had a fantastic time there. The other family is from is from Saskatchewan, and they were the family visiting us when our house burned down last August. They had to work up the nerve, I think, to go to Disneyworld with us!
