Ozzie, Bertuzzie, Williams...all looking pretty sharp. -
I think he'll be a good fit with the team if he can get some skating time. It's too hard to figure them out when you don't see them a whole lot...for me, anyway. He can bring some energy and that's always a good thing. Wait and see, I guess.

No high horse here. Just because we aren't on the ice with them, doesn't mean we can't be "good sports". I have two daughters who are both into sports and I can't explain why people are booing one player in certain games. I would be appalled if my kids ever booed a player anywhere.
-
Pittsburgh transplant? I don't need to cry you a river...you probably do it yourself or you wouldn't need to boo a player like Hossa. I agree that he was useless in the Playoffs last year, but a few players didn't bring their A-game. He's moved on. Now Detroit needs to show everyone they don't need Hossa. Actally, I don't know why everyone would boo him. Because of the playoffs last year or because he signed with another team. Either way, it's over. A big f*** you to the "fans" that are going to make all of Detroit's fans look like mental midgets.

As much of an irrelevant subject as this is, I had to read. I thought there might be something interesting. Glad to see a guy get back on his skates. As far as the booing goes, I've got one thing to say. It will put you on a level with Penguins fans when they boo him. The guy made a move, and for us it sucked, then he made another move. It happens, let it go. Wings fans can be way classier than that.

Detroit - 4 Colorado - 1 Kronwall lays someone out, May knocks someone out, Filpulla's moves turn someone inside out. -
Are these Olympic boats you're talking about? The Aboriginals did many things. I am aware of this. I just don't think symbols for Aboriginals need to be everywhere for the Olympics. JMHO.

Like I said, even though the Rockies may seem too regional, most can relate to them. The whole landmark thing. I don't like the wavy design just because it looks cheesy (earlier post). It's okay, I should have known my thoughts wouldn't come across very clear. I'm finding it difficult to put in here what I'm trying to say without being too offensive, and starting a firestorm...oops. No need to facepalm too hard, I don't want you to bruise yourself.

Maltby has always been one of my favorite dudes on this team. Even when he isn't scoring lots of goals, his style is what him cool. In your face, hard driving, getting under your skin. Good for him.
-
Maybe I wasn't clear enough. Sorry. I don't like the wavy design of them, even knowing what it represents. I think it's too regional, which is something that tends to happen in Canada all too often. I'm saying they could have had some designs inlaid instead of changing to whole shape of them. I realize also that putting the Rockies on may be considered regional, but it's something most Canadians can relate to. I'm not saying I could have done better, by the way, because I'm no artist. It's all west coast imagery, nothing about the prairies or Ontario/Quebec, or the Maritimes. And my knowledge of Canada's history is just fine. I just don't like everything being about Aboriginals.

I think they are the cheesiest medals in Olympic history. For some reason, everything has to have a "modern" look to it, and I'm assuming that's what they were going for. To me, they look like they were designed by the Frito Lay Company. As for the raven and orca, I don't like those either. Those are aboriginal designs, with no significance to Canadian history or culture, with the obvious exception to Aboriginals. The same goes for the Inukshuk (sp?) that you see all over the place for the Olympics. Those three symbols hold absolutely no significance to me. I don't mean to be s***ty about it, but Aboriginal does not mean Canadian, nor does Canadian mean Aboriginal. I'm probably going way to into it here, but it's aggravating seeing everything done to satisfy and appease Aboriginals. Why not a picture of the Rockies? Or something to symbolize the "Coast to Coast to Coast" theme the government has been pushing for some time. Medal Fail!

In a perfect world, Detroit would have nothing but A-List players. Unfortunately, they have to deal with some things that are commonly known to most people. Salary Cap would be a good start. They can only pay so much money out, so rookies and B-Listers are going to be seen. Player Contracts is another thing to look at. Do you know what "No Trade Clause" means? CBA, Free Agency? Any of these ring a bell inside your Penguins helmet? Besides all that, a little loyalty would cool to see. Five games in and you've got players swimmin' with the fishes rather than giving them a chance to pick up their game. /trolling...please

Hmmm...This, that or the other... Gotta go with the tuna salad. Tuna salad sandwich toasted or untoasted?

YES! 2, or even 5 games, is not enough to judge how the entire season will go. Granted, if we don't win again in the next six games, then 20 is going to seem long but I don't think that's going to happen {fingers crossed, hoping I'm right}. Edit: spelling

At what point does trolling become boring? When that time arrives, peace will again reign!

Playoff hockey starts later in the season. You see, each team plays 82 games. Then, when all the teams are seeded, they come with a schedule. This schedule pits two teams against each other in a best of 7 series. Eventually, these different series whittle down the field to two teams, with the winner of that series winning the Stanley Cup. Up until that point is reached is what we call "Regular Season". The Red Wings, as well as the rest of the league, will play this "Regular Season" hockey throughout 82 games. Your post is irrelevant.

But there were six goals scored last night. Why aren't we hanging more players out to dry? This is a team and the sooner you get that through your Pittsburgh Penguins helmet, the sooner you will start making sense. Any thread featuring Homer turns you into a gremlin feeding after midnight. Go back to LetsGoPens.com....they miss you there.
