Oh, I thought we were talking about Ron Howard. Yes, him. There have been a few "all stars" that didn't do much for me. Being in an all star game, even more than once, doesn't make you a superstar. I just haven't had the warm fuzzies for him for a couple seasons. To be fair, the comment about him only being okay, may be more of a bias towards his inconsistency, and the fact that he irritates the crap out of me with that.

I read "Time to move Howard?" I thought "Why, is it 2013?" That was when I last really liked him. Since then he's just been okay, and only at times. Unfortunately, right now he sucks @$$ through a straw, so if anybody wants him, they'll offer a bag of warm pucks in trade. For now, I think his crappiness needs to be ridden out, and turf him when he's worth something. This is my opinion only, and should not be considered a truly educated view on the subject.

I almost passed out reading that first part. The sky is not falling, people. The clouds are definitely hanging low, but it's temporary. I'm aware of the irony of responding in this thread, but the point of the original post is completely ridiculous. The Wings, as well as any other team, could have a specf***ingtacular year, then tank in the first round. Consequently, I seem to recall the term "Dark Horse", where an unlikely contender makes a strong run in the playoffs. Two or three weeks of uncharacteristically crappy games hardly predicts a short visit to the playoffs. The only thing that will determine our ouster in the first round is if the other team wins four games before we do.

It's an oversimplification of what people are saying. It's easy to call out Howard for his dumbassery because it usually ends with a goal for the bad guys. Bad D, low scoring, ineffective coaching...they result in overall crap on the ice, but it doesn't always manifest bad goals.

The only time I see any real intensity from these guys is in the celebrations after the goals.

Not sure what's happening there, Robo, but maybe a pm would be a good way to resolve your issue. Maybe a pm to a Mod. I've had a couple deleted, but I deserved it. Others were deleted at the same time. Also, maybe you could look at what you posted and try to figure out what the difference is between you and the others. No matter which way you go, posting that one line looks like a big whinefest.
