Welcome to the internet. That's only partial sarcasm. This is what people do on the internet...they take one thing and obsess over it, and when someone takes it to another level, people feel the need to outdo it.

Again, I've read the warning posts and the guidelines before. I guess the issue is interpretation. I'm not sure which rule you're using and how you are interpreting it. Further, if a mod would just send that little note, maybe even saying not to reply because it's information and not a discussion, a person might avoid those posts later. How about some critical thinking on your part? Nobody has pissed in my Wheaties, but I have a very low tolerance for smartasses. Like I said, I couldn't care less anymore. The post is deleted, and you won't tell me why, specifically. I guess I'll just assume that it offended you on a personal level, and since you are unable to communicate your thoughts effectively, you deleted the post. Respond if you will, I won't read it. You can't convey complete thoughts, and I won't try to interpret them.

I'm not your damn monkey to go looking back through posts to read the warnings. I've read the guidelines before. Instead of just telling me, specifically, what the issue was, you unroll your smartassery and try to get me to go looking and interpret a post or a guideline in the same manner that you you did. No thanks. In fact, I'm fairly certain a quick note explaining the problem would have been quicker than what you posted.

Maybe a moderator could drop a message to the user they sanction. I've just had a post deleted and the thread locked out to me, without explanation. I didn't have a clue that I was pushing a boundary, especially since I was in the "State Your Unpopular Opinion" thread. It seemed like that was the place to spew what others might not want to hear. Regardless, I pushed it too far, got deleted, and got locked out of a thread. Okay. But why? If a moderator is going to do all that, what's the issue with a quick message telling me why it happened?

While I tend to be okay with the death penalty, I would actually applaud it's implementation for guys like this. Apparently, the newest accuser is a former Swift Current Bronco and the incidents are from 1990-1991. Hang 'em high. Okay, all that info is in the linked article. I heard it on the news, as Swift Current is the closest city to me. I hadn't read the article when I posted.

I can't stand Hipsters. Drinking Red Stripe beer and having an ironically shaggy beard is not cool. If you like Red Stripe and ugly beards, that's fine, but partaking in these things because of the whole Hipster thing is just a bad idea. Fun activity: When you see a Hipster on the street, yell "Hey, Hipster!" really loud. They will turn and look at you, then get mad because you called them a Hipster. About three seconds later, they'll get mad again for acknowledging that they are, indeed, a Hipster.

I've been a Wings fan for over thirty years. I think the glory days of the NHL are over. There are so many rules and regulations that the game has changed, and I don't think it's for the better. Hockey used to be a tough sport...goalies didn't even wear masks, way back! If trends keep going, a goalie will only need to stand in front of a net and all the equipment will just block it. Add to the mix the unfortunate enforcement of rules, and in a few years, the NHL is populated by the likes of Brian Boitano and Elvis Stojko. I'm just dying to see a retiring player or coach come out and say that the NHL is a piece of garbage or that Gary Bettman has ruined the league, or something to make people realize how crappy it's become. Most of the crap they pull can be justified, though, and that's part of the problem. PK Subban takes a two handed baseball swing, causing a fractured arm, he gets kicked out for the rest of the game by on ice officials. Kronwall makes a hit on a guy with his head down, and it was slightly illegal (I stopped reading about it as soon as he got suspended), there's no on ice call, but the league suspends him even though there are no medical issues with the guy that gets Kronwalled. If you could call out the NHL on their BS, while having an audience that could have an impact, what would you say?

I can't find my "your opinion is as relevant to me as mine is to you" picture, so just imagine you're looking at that right now. Had you just corralled yourself and stated that you are okay with the current state of the NHL, that would have been cool. You didn't, so it isn't, and you are not.

I'm not saying that a goalie from way back when would be okay with taking a Weber shot to the head. It was an example of the difference between then and now. Hell, I'm a pansy when it comes to getting hit with a puck, but I'm not in the NHL. Guys now are faster and have sticks engineered to produce faster and harder shots, so the mask thing was just pointing out that they used to go without them. You didn't have the diving and embellishing that you do now. I hate to bring Crosby into this, but there's a video on Youtube showing his dives and his childish attitude. This is the new "face of the NHL". As for Kurri, he's touting the KHL more than calling out the NHL.
