I usually stay quiet, posting stuff that doesn't really matter, but after reading some of the most recent discussion, I am regretting my decision to join these boards in the first place. I understand that the Wings haven't been playing as they were last April, but this is December, last time i checked, April is still four months away. The Wings are still winning with sub-par efforts, and at this time, it doesn't bother me on bit. If they are playing this way at the end of February, then I will start to worry, but until then, they're winning, so who cares. I am not trying to say the Wings are playing how they should be, but I think when the time comes, they will come to play. The panic I have seen on these boards is a little extreme, but isn't entirely wrong, its just a little to soon. In a month or two, then fine, but calm down until then. Babcock and Ken know what they're doing, and will make any changes they think is necessary. I remember the last trade deadline, and after we only got Stuart, some people didn't think we would get to the finals, and then we won the cup, so if you still think Babcock and Holland don't know what they're doing, and you think can do a better job than them, please go tell them what you think they should do, instead of complaining about to people who can't do anything about it.

I believe what i posted came across the wrong way, I don't hate negativity, I just think its misplaced as of right now. There have been times when I have thought the Wings needed a complete overhaul, but that is mostly after a loss. I guess i just don't understand why people are complaining after a win. I think they didn't play there best against Chicago, but they still won, so it wasn't that bad. I realize I made it sound like I hate all the complaining going on, but that wasn't what I was trying to do, all I was trying to say was that I believe this complaining is a little preemptive. In a month or two, if the Wings are still playing like this, I'll probably be complaining too. I may have been a little extreme in saying that I regretted joining the boards, and I fully agree people can and should complain, but I think there are times were it is out of place, like after the Wings win. A little complaining is fine, they didn't exactly play a full 60 minutes, but to go and say that we need a new goaltender, is, in my opinion, going to far. Did Conklin have a bad first period and a half, yes, but is he the backup, yes. I think Babcock would have pulled him after the first period, but he was pulled from the last game he started, so pulling him again, in my opinion, would have ruined his confidence, but by leaving him in and battling back, I think he will play much better from now on. I think my Original Post was taken out of context, and part of that is my fault, I should have been clearer about what I meant, and for this, I apologize.

The way they argued it and the timing of this case were both completely wrong, if they had waited a few months or so, then this: A.) Wouldn't come off as being extremelly inconsiderate B.) Might have even gone unoticed

all i have to say is that the OP only joined a couple of weeks ago, and his/her only posts are bashing wings, so this leads me to think this is only a wing hater who wants to laugh his A** off at all of our responses, so I say ignore him/her from now on

I would like an explination for these lines, Helm i could see play this year, but not Leino, he needs more time playing on NHL sized rinks and learning how to play the faster game then he is used to. I see no reason to have a Maltby out of the lineup either. Draper and him have great chemistry and are the best PK line the wings have. Sure, he dosn't put up a lot of points, but he would be either 3rd or 4th line, which arn't the big scoreing lines. Also, why would you have Franzen on a line without Zetterberg. Playing on a line with Zetterberg last year was one of the reasons for his end of the season hot streak, not the only reason, but one of them.
