You are correct. Columbus : 1 or 2 points Anaheim : 2 points - Columbus 6th, Anaheim 7th, St Louis 8th Columbus: 1 or 2 points Anaheim: 1 point St Louis: 0 or 1 point - Columbus 6th, Anaheim 7th, St Louis 8th Columbus: 1 or 2 points Anaheim: 1 point St Louis: 2 points - Columbus 6th, St Louis 7th, Anaheim 8th Columbus: 1 or 2 points Anaheim: 0 point St Louis: 1 or 2 points - Columbus 6th, St Louis 7th, Anaheim 8th Columbus: 0 points Anaheim: 2 points St Louis: 2 points - Anaheim 6th, St Louis 7th, Columbus 8th Columbus: 0 points Anaheim: 2 points St Louis: 0 or 1 point - Anaheim 6th, Columbus 7th, St Louis 8th Columbus: 0 points Anaheim: 1 point St Louis: 2 points - St Louis 6th, Columbus 7th, Anaheim 8th Columbus: 0 points Anaheim: 1 point St Louis: 0 or 1 point - Columbus 6th, Anaheim 7th, St Louis 8th Columbus: 0 points Anaheim: 0 point St Louis: 2 points - St Louis 6th, Columbus 7th, Anaheim 8th Columbus: 0 points Anaheim: 0 point St Louis: 1 points - Columbus 6th, St Louis 7th, Anaheim 8th These are the possible scenarios...

...and still missing the play-offs every year by a 10-point margin.

I think you made a little error on the adjusted GP stats, I don't think they let Phoenix play 86 games/season (thankfully). More important: the adjusted points-stats are spot on
-
I would say you're totally screwed. Btw...65-13-7??? When did we start playing 85 games in regular season?
-
While I have absolutely nothing against Florida, my gut says they end up a few points short for a play-off spot.

Sounds to me like it would be smarter to trade similar quality (more expensive) players when they have "Zetterberg"-like contracts. Zetterberg's new contract: 73 mln/12 years = 6.1 mln/year Zetterberg's last 4 years: 12.35 mln/4 years = 3.1 mln/year If you trade Zetterberg when his contract expires in 4 years you can gain 3 mln cap space a year. It might be a bit far fetched but it is possible. Then I rather see cap hits based on the same calculation, meaning Detroit can keep Zetterberg for the following cap hits: 2009/2010: 73.0 mln / 12 years = 6.1 mln 2010/2011: 65.6 mln / 11 years = 6.0 mln 2011/2012: 57.9 mln / 10 years = 5.8 mln .. 2018/2019: 5.4 mln / 3 years = 1.8 mln 2019/2020: 2.0 mln / 2 years = 1.0 mln 2020/2021: 1.0 mln / 1 year = 1.0 mln

Western Conference 1. Detroit Red Wings 2. San Jose Sharks 3. Calgary Flames 4. Vancouver Canucks 5. Chicago Blackhawks 6. Columbus Blue Jackets 7. Minnesota Wild 8. Dallas Stars I don't believe Nashville and (especially) Edmonton can hold off Minnesota and Dallas. Eastern Conference 1. New Jersey Devils 2. Boston Bruins 3. Washington Capitals 4. Philadelphia Flyers 5. Pittsburgh Penguins 6. New York Rangers 7. Montreal Canadiens 8. Carolina Hurricanes Carolina will be best of the worst, as Buffalo is behind too many points and Florida already gave up a hugh lead in points which will cost them a play-off spot.

I'll sign for that
