That could also be due to the fact that he played probably 3/4 of the season. He was over worked last year. I do agree though that having that competition would make Hboth of them better goalies.

I guess I was thinking that he will be back this season. It's definitely not forcing him out if he stays on the IR the rest of the season, only if he truly can't play. He was really starting to play well. I do understand the need to look for a goalie since we just had first hand experience with both of our goalies out to injury and the backups not being very solid.

Forced retirement If he's going to be good for the team then I'm all for it, I just hate that they'd be forcing Osgood out sort of like they did back in 2001.

I've been to 2 of Toasts in 2009 so I met most of the guys there. When I was younger I met Adam Oates, Rick Zombo, Joe Kocur, Primeau, Federov, I'm pretty sure Probert. I know there are a few other ones because my uncle would take us to those softball games they used to do. I remember meeting Yzerman the 1st time and being very disappointed with him. I was young and I guess expected him to actually look at me and say hi before signing my jersey, which was his. That sort of ruined things for me for a while, but as I got older I realized he was very busy signing everything and I'm sure he was nice to me, just not what I had expected. I met him again in 2009 at the Toast and he was so nice. I'm glad I had that opportunity before he went to Tampa.

I hope that Howard hasn't rushed his return, I know it was just a bruised knee but I want him 100% because we don't need something worse coming out of it. Hopefully we'll give a little more effort tonight because it's getting very frustrating watching them give up the lead every game and then having to fight back. I think when they guys have their own supply and it's their own jersey they'll sign it in blue on the white numbers. I've heard that the blue is best because the black tends to yellow over time. I've only got one autographed jersey, Osgood, and I don't wash it of course I won't wear it outside my house either. I'm not sure what the opinion is about the autograph holding up over time and washing.

As much as I want to be hopeful, I don't see us scoring 2 goals in 2 minutes. That would make me very happy if they made the effort and did though.
