Sadly we all saw this coming. I'm sure he would stay here if he could but family has to come first always. Will miss you Stuie. It's a shame, he was doing a signing today and they advertised that it was his first since the 08 win...will be his last as a Wing too.

That's not really a benefit to take the child away from her father. It really is amazing sometimes how the court says they are doing things in the best interest of the child when in reality it's what's best for one or both of the parents. I say good for Brad not pulling her away from her dad.

Most states have a law that says you are only able to move a child so many miles away from their non-custodial parent. Michigan is 100 miles, so if they want to move any farther the court has to decide and it's up to the one that wants to move to prove that it would be to improve the quality of life for the child...and even then they don't have to say yes.

That too. It would be one thing if he knew he were going to be with a team the rest of his career (and the step child issue weren't present) then I could see him moving them. He very well could have done that here since I'm sure we'd keep him if we could.

He has a step daughter and I'm sure that has something to do with it. Could be the courts won't allow her to move, likely because the dad is still there. Plus he's been away from his family for a long time, I could see him wanting to actually be able to be with them more.

The need a rotation because we don't need MacDonald getting cold sitting the rest of the season. I hope this starts happening more often.

I hope the new blood gets things going tonight. We need to win and Columbus is a good opponent for that to happen against. If we can win with Lids and Datsyuk out that should help the guys' confidence. That and maybe we can play the entire 60 minutes. Go Wings!

He does. Doubt it would happen in a deal and we definitely don't want to lose him before we have to. But if Holland did do something at least we'd get something in return for him because we will likely lose him this summer anyway.
