Ozzie will be happy with either decision - if the Wings want him back I'm sure he'll jump at the chance. But if they decide to go with someone else, I'm sure he'll still be a part of the team and he'll be able to spend more time with his family. Osgood has always been a great mentor and had a positive attitude about his place on the team. I agree, I'd love to see Ozzie come back but his health is still uncertain and they will have to have a capable backup in case he falters. As for Conklin I think he was a good fit with the team the last time he was here and if he comes back I'd be happy with him.

He's healthy enough to play, yes he's at risk of it happening again but he did fine last season. If you blacklist every player for a previous injury you'll never take anyone. We sure would be happy. I was hoping he might come back here but no

It would work if we knew he was 100%, but he tried to come back couple times and it didn't work. I know he could easily handle the demand. I am holding out hope he'll be back, but I think it will only be if we can't find someone else.

Completely agree, but I also see from the team stand point it's a huge risk signing him. With his injury and them not being able to see him play since the surgery in January they don't know where he's at anymore than he does.

I think Ericsson has a lot to prove this season. If he doesn't earn his pay then he deserves to be traded. He has potential and hopefully this year he'll be able to focus better and live up to it, prove all the doubters wrong. I would love to see him succeed and if/when that happens I'd like to be as a Wing. I do think that the contract was a little high but it might just turn out to be a great deal.
