2010 Winter Olympics - Russia vs Latvia

A demonic goat is Victor Kozlov because his last name is translated as "goat". Ovechkin is an infernal "lamb"

    Team Sweden line combinations announced

That is a defending Gold Medalist roster right there. I don't get it - both Nicklas'es a second D pairing?

Haha, Is that the crazy sheep on the right of the skate? "Ovechka" - is "sheep/lamb" in Russian.

2010 Winter Olympics - Russia vs Latvia

Give the guy a break, he is the only link between glorious Soviet hockey past and present Russian aspirations. The only thing missing in Fedorov's trophy cabinet is the Olympic Gold medal, and judging by his play last night, he has come to get it.

Pics from the Russian practice before the Olympics Pavel to Nabokov: "Shall I do a penalty shot on you?" "No thanks, Pasha, the entire Youtube community is already going LULZ over some of the stuff you did on me". "I have to do a penalty shot on somebody" thought Datsyuk to himself. The real captain for Team Russia is also a good spokesman. Glad to see you again, Sergei.

    Avalanche injury status

Very debatable claim. The Russian RHL seems to draw better players and more money. Anyways the Czechs are always very dangerous players. Hope our guys can cancel this new threat out.

    TooToo whistle

I don't care about those locomotive whistles. Since Detroit cares for its big guns, Nashville for its big goons - all they have is a Tootoo train. Good luck to them on a Nashville railroad development.

    Euro Twins?

He is certainly european. His last name is Ukrainian, just like Hordichuk or Kovalchuk. Most of the settlers in the vast lands of Urals and Siberia were Ukrainians - sent there either by Katherine II or Joseph Stalin. There is no doubt that his predecessors moved to Urals from somewhere in Ukraine and settled in Yekatrinburg. Lots of people did, therefore you see lots of ukrainian last names both in Siberia and even Kazakhstan these days.
