Just trying to get a gauge on what people think heading into the offseason. Do you guys think the Wings will have the caproom to bring in any talented free agents. You think we will sign any new faces over the summer and does anyone have anyone realistically they would like to see sign with the Wings?

Anyone watch this game? Crazy game Sharks down 4-2, then 5-4 and come back and dominate and win 8-5! Wings only one back of Flames and Preds now!!

I am constantly reading bashing of Filpulla on the message board but no one ever says anything about Cleary. Is it just me or has Cleary been terrible this year? Filpulla seems to be able to make plays and skate with the puck unlike Cleary who seems like hes just lost. I think the Wings got f***ed with Clearys contract as he seems like hes only getting worse. Any opinions?

After losing Saturday to the Kings in a game which the Red Wings in no way should have lost being up 3-0, Tuesdays game vs the Blues has to be a must win. If the Wings lose vs the Blues I will be leaning more towards no playoffs this year. Get it done!

The Enforcer you obviously are not to bright. Draper and Maltby know exactly their role and what to do on the ice. Lets just get rid of them bring 2 new players who will take a while to get adjusted to their roles only a couple of months before the playoffs start. Malts and Drapes only have won 4 cups and came a game away from a 5th, seems it would be a great idea to just get rid of them....... A Hole!!

I believe the Wings are going to win the next 3 games on the road and this will start there turn around to becoming a very good team once again. Call it intuition, but the Wings are going to beat the sharks, ducks, and kings!!! I guarantee it!

If Detroit wants to make the playoffs I hope Osgood doesnt start another game this year. Howard is in the top 5 in goals against and has been great all year. Having Osgood in goal is like putting 4 goals to the other team before the puck drops. Howard is the Wings only hope to actually make the playoffs and go anywhere once there in, sorry Ozzy but your done!

Does anyone think Maltby will be back next season with the Wings. His contract is up after this season and I am hoping the Wings will bring him back another year. He is an effective penalty killer and a great role player and it would suck not to have him on the team after all these years. Any opinions?

Howards play the past weeks has been great. Jimmy Howard is keeping this team in every game even though we have trouble scoring. My predection is in 4 years he will be on team usa in the olympics!!! GO HOWARD

how can no one have mentioned Mississippi. Jackson Mississippi is probably the biggest hockey city in the country. Its a toss up between St. Paul Minnesota and Jackson Mississippi, but I would lean towards Jackson.

Shanahan is obviously going to go into the hall of fame. Any chance you think the Wings will retire his 14 and raise to the rafters of the Joe. 3 stanley cups with the Wings, best seasons with the Wings, will that be enough?

Say after this season Lidstrom and Draper decide to retire, who do you think will become the new captain and who will be the two assistant captains? I would say Zetterberg would be captain, with Datsyuk and Kronwall as the assistants. What are your opinions??

Please stop already!!!! After Howards first 2 starts everyone bitched and complained. Now he played well in his last 2 starts and everyone thinks he is a super star. When he plays so so his next start is everyone going to say he sucks again, give it a rest!

"The Campbell and Hossa deals are looking really dumb right now" how can anyone say that. What if Hossa and Campell both have great years and lead Chicago to a cup. I hate to say it but I think this whole thread was started so us Wings fans have something positive to look foward to, next year! Chicago has a great team, good for them. Hopefully we can beat them but lets give them credit instead of saying they are so screwed because of contracts or lack of. -

Lots of people including myself were upset when the Wings got Williams instead of other avaliable free agents. But he has looked very good so far in the 1st 3 games and has made some very nice moves handling the pucks, anyone agree??

Bertuzzi looked awful, specially that turnover that led to a goal. Maltby looked great which made my day. I wish Eaves played, bench Bertuzi and play Eaves. Burtuzzi is a fat f*** and should be in grand rapids. Hope Osgood plays better tomorrow.
