Although Datsyuk didnt score, he looked real good today. At times he was stickhandling and keeping the puck from the whole ducks team. It sucks he still didnt score, but atleast he is playing well, soon enough the pucks will go in.

If the ref was going to call interference on Dan Cleary I was going to break my tv. Finally Detroit catches a break, as Clearys leg held up Hillers as he tried to make the save. All the ducks were arguing during the next break but as Hiller said after Hossas no goal, "when you play well you deserve the breaks." Huge win tonight, LETS GO WINGS!!!!

Brad Watson should go work at burger king and screw up the orders there. On the bright side if the Wings are feeling any of the feelings the fans are feeling, pissed off, ready to kick somones ass, they will need to use it to there advantage. Maybe the f***ed up call will actually be a turning point in the Wings favor in that the Wings will now play with a more determined, grittier, hungrier pace. The Wings looked soft again in the beginning of this game, so hopefully they will build off being f***ed by the ref and really take it to the ducks.

If Downey was in the lineup, he would have had a natural hat trick in the 1st, broken up Selanne's break away, killed Pronger in hand-to-hand combat, and banged both of the Neidermeyer's wives. Of course, we' still be down 1. HAHAHA GREAT!

As I see it this will probably be McCartys last year on the Wings. I am very hopeful he will play in the playoffs as he did last year. But it seems there are better players that the Wings could call up instead of Mac (Leino, Helm) McCarty has always been my favorite Red Wing and I would love to see him play again this spring, anyone think he will be in the lineup for some games this playoff year, or have we seen the end of Mac in a Wings sweater?

Everytime I see Franzen play I have to laugh at just how good he is. Whenever I watch any hockey show or nhl of the fly I always hear people talking about Crosby, Ovenchkin, Datsyuk etc, etc but I never ever hear any mention of the mule. I think Franzen does not nearly get the respect and praise he deserves. After carrying the team for part of the playoffs last year, and now having another great season I think its time the hockey world start talking seriously about the skills of the mule. At this point I would rather have Franzen stay and see Hossa walk, I just think Franzen is only going to get better.

Welcome to the forum : ) I don't see any possibility that the Wings would be able to sign Luongo next season, seeing aftter they sign either Hossa or Franzen they wouldnt have enough bucks left. It would be nice, but I am hoping the Wings allow Howard to play next season, and we have 2 other goalies in the minors who hopefully have a bright future.

It was just a joke, don't see the need to be offended. Thats like McCarty getting offended when Yzerman said he has a better chance of winning the lottery, than D Mac has of getting a hat trick!

Get rid of someone who single handley carried the team on his back through last years post season. Get rid of someone who already has 25 goals this year and that includes being out some time with an injury. Getting rid of Franzen would be the worst idea I could possibly think of. Hopefully he signs after this year, but you cannot worry about that intill this year is over.
