People actually thought he was faking an injury? Becuase the Wings were gonna score by the hash marks at the side boards. Not to mention he went down right away and didnt know where the puck was. Good grief. -

I dont see why people are complaining so much about Smith. It's pathetic. The only reason we scored was because the net was empty. We've been outplayed 2/3rds of this game so its a well deserved loss. The only thing that sucks was the linesman being in the way. -

Yes, they might just ask for a trade tomorrow... Cleary signing for one year is fine. He was one of our better players in the playoffs and personally I couldnt care less how he does in the regular season. Also people always over rate prospects. It's a good move for this year IMO. -

If Cleary was signed i highly doubt Alfie would take 11. Cleary has been around for a while and it's his jersey to have in that instance. Alfie is too classy to ask for it even. Only way he'd get it is if Cleary offered. -

Yes 31 players who filed today have big ego's. Arbitration is a tool used to get contract negotiations going. But carry on talking about something you have no clue about.

TSNBobMcKenzie: Expectation is Alfredsson will go to DET. Since he's 35+ player, base salary likely in $3.5M range with bonuses taking it up to $5M total. Great deal. His bonuses would count against next years cap. -

That forward depth is awful. Team wouldnt be close to making the playoffs. Also Helm will never be a 2C and is closer to a 4C at this point. -

Anyone can be bought out the 3 million was just for this year because it buy outs wernt suppose to start til the end of the year but the NHL didn't want gomez/redden buried in the minors.

All this talk that we woke the Hawks up is silly. They were better in games 3 and 4 that they lost then game 6 that they won. We really passed away fame 6. We're better then the Kings but prolly were too banged up to win 2 more rounds.
