Ever since coming over from LA I think Brad Stuart has been quite solid for us, one of our better defenseman consistently. In the 08' Cup run he solidified our top 4 and i believe in the finals he had 6 points in the first 4 games leading our team. In the 09' playoffs when we were hurting with injuries he stepped up his game and was pretty good. Some of us remember his gaffs in game 7, which i think is unfair. This year he is one of only 3 Wings to play 82 games, he stepped up huge when our lineup was depleted, and has been great for us on the back end all year. To top it off he came up big today in OT pinching in and reading the play perfectly. All in all I guess since coming over from LA i'd say Stuie as definatly exceeded most people's expectations. A+ for Stuie!

LOL threads like these are great. our path to the Cup was probably easier then theirs. they beat three pretty good teams in san jose, vacnouver and philly. i guess u don't remember us getting nashville first round which was tough but blowing right through colorado with half their roster injured, facing a dallas team that upset anaheim and san jose who we got to avoid, and then beating a pittsburgh team that looked lost for the first two games with ease. ahhh, i love it

Kane is my favorite player on the Hawks to be honest. It's kind of refreshing at his age he isn't such a bore when you listen to him talk like Crosby and others, heck even Toews is always politically correct. At the parade i thought his comments about keeping his shirt on and his shout out to all the cabby's was hilarious. I highly doubt he was serious with his comment about the girls out there liking him, let's be realistic here - he's 21, a million aire, arguably the best player on chicago, scored the cup winning goal, has "decent" looks, i'm pretty sure he's doing okay in the ***** department. Every player who gets interviewed "shouts out" to their friends and family - every red wing in 2008 did it, whats the big deal? Who cares. It makes me think some people in here are 40 years old and forget what it feels like to be 20.

This thread us really just sour grapes. Toews didn`t have a great series but he was sick in the dfirst 3 rounds. He`s a complete player, he deserves it.

Kane's my favourite player on the Hawks. I'd take Kane, Towes, Hossa, Keith winning the Cup over Thornton, Marleau, Diveagucci and those clowns.

I have no problem with the Hawks winning this series, or the Cup. I actually prefer them on San Jose but have money on the Sharks to win the Cup before the playoffs started. Before the series i thought the Hawks would win. Philly will win their series too. Then the Hawks will win the Cup in 5 or 6.

Whoever wants a loser in Kovalchuk is an idiot, thats all i really have to say. He's never won anything, and never will. He's quit on his coach and team in Atlanta a couple times.
