Malts has been a staple on this team for years. He has earned the right to play. So he's not the huge offensive threat or the fastest , best guy on the ice. However, he has proven grinding ability, great PK and an all around balanced forward. I say no way he doesn't play in the WCCS.

Wheres the line ? I guess where ever you draw it in the sand. Most depends on how much crap you are willing to take. Some will take alot more than others. Allot of it depends on age and tolerence..............................( or lack of either)

I live in Virginia. Not a whole lotta Hockey fans aroung here to worry about. I do take an occasional visit to MCI center when the Wings (rarely) play the Caps. The D/C fans can be tough, but me and my # 33 hold our own. It doesn't hurt that I'm 6' 3" 240lbs. Seems to detour most . It is very hard to be humble sometimes when you are the oldest and the best franchise. And you know people love to see the best lose..........I grew up in Motown , downriver. Spent about 25 years there before the weather got the best of me. You can take a man outta Detroit, but you can't take Detroit out of a Man...........(ain't poppin' no caps , but I do stand proud for my team)

I can totally relate. Living in Virginia for 20 some years. Thank God for the internet and sites like this. I too suffer the daily news and chatter about this race and that. If I want to talk Hockey, I either come on here or call and talk to friends back home in Detroit. Thankfully NHL center ice versus and the NHL channel are all available. My wife knows that this time of year she becomes a "hockey widow". Looking forward to another late night tonight with a 1000pm start time......................

I don't see anything really flagrant. I realize desperate players do desperate things to try and change momentum or get a break from the tireless pressure of a dominating team. I think tonights contest will be much more of the same. If you can't match skill and intensity, some teams and or players will try just about anything to get some kind of edge............I do have great admiration for JS and would be very shocked if he actually was attempting to injure ................................

I think Dallas is a good club, but not superior. I wasn't truly impressed by the Sharkies during the Regular season until the very end. The east doesn't impress me at all, though the Pens have yet to lose a playoff game, I still don't think they can hold a candle to The Wings. My choice is easy..Red Wings all the way....................my opinion is somewhat bias, however, The truth is in the pudding, they are rolling right now and I don't think anyone in either conference can touch 'em if they keep it up !!

Whats great is that the Wings learned from the Nashville series. I had a really good feeling about the road to the cup after we finished off the Preds. I never thought the Av's had a chance to match our skill or our determination. It seems to me that everthing is coming together with forwards flying D covering and Ozzie backstopping......I don't hink a team in the league can match our intensity or our skill level.........................

I have had a tooth broken in half with a Hockey stick, It didn't really hurt until the cold air hit the exposed nerve, after the adrenaline rush wore off. I do think PF is a major whiner. We got a little redemtion on the no call "tripping" later in the third period. I think it was Kronwall. You could tell Forsberger wasn't 100%....but this is playodff Hockey ....NO EXCUSES !..........I doubt he plays in game 4. One more and Dallas is next ! Though I would like to see the Sharkies beat up on em for a couple more games.....just to soften em up a little.

I hope they continue full throttle. I really have a good feeling this year. After the Nashville series, or @ the end of that series, I felt like everything came together for the WINGS. Not to say that they can't or won't lose again, but I'm just very optimistic about not only this series , but the WCS and Finals as well !!

I remember an interview with Wilson prior to the start of the second round. He not only pretty much picked his team to win it all, but also named the Conn Smyth trophy winner. I was thinking ' Man this guy either has balls of steel or no freakin' clue. I see it's the latter............To bad for the Sharkies, they do have allot of talent........Series isn't over, but it don't look good for 'em.

Melrose is an ass monkey. He never has anything nice to say about the Wings. He's been a hater from way back. The only time he comes around is when he knows the outcome is inevitable. I'm glad ESPN no longer covers the NHL like it used to. I don't have to hear his rhetoric anymore.......................

I agree. Don't change a thing. Just play hard and every shift. The talent it there. Be patient and the goals will come. The Av's choice of goalie shouldn't make a difference either.
