I don't know why there is so much complaining. There is virtually no risk in a one year deal. If it doesn't work out, he can sit and someone else can play and he is gone next year. Plus we just swiped a captain and an alternate captain from two of our new division rivals who have played their entire careers in the east where we will be now. It's a win win.

No. Our "worst" team in 20 years was one goal worse than them. We have no rebuild years. Our scouting and drafting and player development is still the model way to run a franchise. Let these idiots write about and think whatever they want but the Wings aren't going anywhere any time soon.

I see everyone is pulling out all the superstitions for this one. The good mojo will power the Wings to a win tonight. I can feel it in my bones.

I know Howie wants this game so bad. He has so much emotion in every play and every game, I would feel really bad for him more than anyone if the Blackhawks win especially how he carried our team the hole season. With that said, my pre series prediction was Hawks in 6 so in reality I should be happy with how it's gone so far but I won't be satisfied until it says 00:00 on the clock in the 3rd and a higher number on the visitors side of the score board.

This is why going up 3-1 WAS such a big deal. It's very difficult to win 3 games in a row in any playoff series. If Chicago manages to do it then good for them, but this gives Babcock one more chance to get things right and the players to make some changes. Game 7 could go either way.

I really think the Wings are going to pull this one out here at home. The crowd will be going nuts hopefully and I'm sure the team will feed off it and manage to pull out a W. I would love for a blowout which we haven't seen since playing Vancouver earlier in the season but I doubt that will happen. I'm sure it will be another nail biter down to the end. 3-1 Wings. So I didn't post in the GDT earlier today and I didn't post in the X posts for a victory thread either. So that may be why we lost, sorry guys. I was really busy today but on Monday I won't be as busy and will be sure to contribute lol. I'm really not too worried yet. I think the Wings will play better on Monday. Even if we don't win another game, it would definitely be disappointing but the future is so bright for this team that right now losses really aren't bothering me that much. We are still playing with house money. We just lost a hand. We won't have to go all in until Wednesday if that even happens.

I just love how the Hawks are playing the best they can and they are still getting beat. They aren't beating themselves, they aren't really making many mistakes, they just can't seem to wrap their heads around the fact that the Wings are better than them. Period.

Smith even appears to be playing better the past couple games. This team... I don't even know.

Does anyone have the NBC highlights of the game? I was watching CBC all game and would like to hear some of the NBC clown reactions after our goals and Howie stonwalls.

First 3 game losing streak of the season for the Hawks. First time ever Toews has taken 3 penalties in a game. I hope when Howard shook Gordies hand he told him we are trying to make up for the gaffe of a game the Wings played on his Birthday. (Unfortunately Gordie probably doesn't remember.... but maybe.)
