Yea, his pre-playoff prediction was Wings in 7 which I was shocked to see. I guess he got lucky on that one haha but hopefully he is right.

I don't think Lashoff was that good in game 5 so I don't mind switching that up. I wanted Cola in over Lashoff to begin with when Deke went down. As far as eaves being taken out, that kind of sucks because I agree he has been playing well and throwing everything at the net is what we need in a playoff game but it's not an easy decision when Bert was playing heavy on the puck last game and Sammy scored. The game isn't going to come down to these players anyways. If our big guns play great and get on the board a couple times and Jimmy is a brick wall, The 4th line and 3rd D pairing won't matter.

I like our chances in this game but it's going to be another nail biter. The Ducks will want to close us out and not even put themselves one game away from elimination. Sometimes big games deserve to have the thread up a day early. We all want to talk about the game anyways so we might as well have a place to do so.

We beat them twice back to back in their building. No reason we can't do it again with a game at our barn.

Is it too much to ask for a 2+ goal win by the Wings? That would really be great.

I think I was one of the guys that started the "Todd Bertuzzi" chant and during that chant, wouldn't you know it, Kronwall knocks who gives a s*** into next week. I didn't start chanting "you got Kronwalled" but as soon as I heard it, I was yelling it like mad. That was the best atmosphere for a Wings game I have ever seen.

I just got back from the game and omg my voice is so shot. Easily the best Wings game I have ever been to. Howard played amazing and saved our asses more than a couple times. The crowd was unreal. I don't know how clear everything on TV was but there was a "Let's go Red Wings" chant literally every 15 seconds and the "You got Kronwalled" chant was just so epic. Nice to see the "Todd Bertuzzi" chant back as well. For my girlfriends first game ever, she is now spoiled if I ever take her to a regular season game. I don't have anything else to say, that was so great!

I'm about to head out and spend the rest of the day downtown before the game starts. Hopefully I can come home tonight to a happy LGW!

Taking my girlfriend to the Joe tonight for her first ever Red Wings game or NHL game period. I'm not too optimistic about tonight but we will have fun either way as long as the Wings don't get blown out. I haven't been to a game all season but last year my record at games was something like 4-0-1 so hopefully I can bring some good luck.

Completely false. I wish every hit like that in the league was legal. Our players get their heads up and don't put themselves in a position to get injured.

Because Abs took several strides in the same direction to make the hit. I don't know the exact rules but that's the only thing I could see being called and I said at most that is what could be called when the refs stretch to find something wrong like they always do. I think the hit warranted no penalty at all because I think you need like 5 strides to call charging. Bettman has these refs heads so screwed up, they don't even know what's a penalty and what isn't any more and they are under so much pressure to protect a player that when they see someone shaken up from a play, they have a confab and kick out the 'offender'. It's ruining the game but what the hell can we do about it? I'm just glad players like Konstantinov weren't born 10 or 15 years later and we actually got to see them play in an era how hockey was meant to be played.

Still pissed about the Abby call. At most I could see a 2 min minor for charging. I'm sorry you can't look up ice and keep yourself from getting injured. I'm sorry the head is the next part of the body that is going to get hit after the shoulder when a human body compresses from impact. I'm sorry you're playing the most physical and fast paced sport on earth.

This was good luck the past two games. If I didn't post it and we lost, I would feel at fault... lol.

Wings win 22-0 Tootoo with all 22 goals as well as the Jackets losing tonight which in turn allows us to clinch our 22nd straight playoff birth.

What a game. Everyone, all around. Keep this going! So pumped, I can't sit down and study for my final tomorrow but I don't even care.
