Consistency has always been his problem so if he can keep it going that will be great for us. I still think it's a waste to have Cleary and Abs on a line with Dats... Yea I know he played great that game. Look at my post just a few posts before. He plays great once in a blue moon but just doesn't have the consistency to take this team far at the moment.

I'm a pretty unbiased person when it comes to the Wings and yea a lot of these goals aren't his fault but we see the opposing goalie making bigger and better saves to keep their team in it almost every game. Howard almost never makes a big save on a breakaway or odd man rush to keep his team in the lead or tied late in the game or period or whatever. These aren't overreactions and you seem to be mad with the name calling. Starting Gustavsson the next game or even the next two this weekend is what should happen but I'm sure ole' stubborn Babs won't oblige.

I'm just afraid Datsyuk is going to see this team going to s*** and pack it up and head home one of these years. Not really related to this game but they did mention it during the broadcast and sometimes it looks like Pavel isn't the only one on the ice with his head up his ass.

Someone needs to tell Prospal his team is in last place. There are a ton of things that need to be told to the Wings so I won't even go there.

Yea, Howards not the guy. I'm sure the next time he stand on his head in 10 games or so everyone will love posting in this thread singing his praise but he is so average it hurts.

It could have been a lot worse than it turned out. Q returned and didn't seem to be any worse for wear. I still think Setoguchi is a huge ****** and one of the biggest divers in the league but this doesn't deserve more than a small fine.

I'm not sure if it's already been said but does anyone know how Monster did in GR? Did he play a game? I'm not expecting too much out of him either but I think he has the skill and size to be a really good backup and push Howard. I just hope he doesn't get lit up whenever his first start is.

I know it's going to be tough all season long but this team has a bit more hunger than they have had in recent years. I didn't get to watch this game because I was skiing but I think the infusion of young players is pushing the vets and making everyone try just a bit harder to get the W every game.

This postseason has been unreal so far. All series. I definitely thought the Tigers were done in extra innings but nope. DY comes out of his shell at Yankee stadium and Smyly pitches like a 10 year veteran. Now lets get this game today and hopefully not come back the rest of the year.

I haven't been so disgusted over a loss in a loooong time as I was last night. It sucks to have the whole pitching staff pitch lights out. Even Benoit who has been horrid of late pitched as good as he could and then one man comes in and f***s up the whole thing. That's what makes baseball special though. It's a team sport but in many ways it's not. I still think the Tigers will win tonight. All season long they have played well with their backs against the wall and while I know the A's now have momentum and they are at home and probably the better all around team, I think someone... maybe Cabrerra and Verlander are going to simply will the Tigers to victory. Verlander might pitch a complete game or Cabby might get 4 hits with 5 RBI's or something but it's going to happen. I have faith.

I'm from Farmington Hills and I played high school baseball at Farmington with Cam Fowler. Greg Stefan is also my neighbor and has been family friends with us my whole life. Those are the only NHLers I can think of right now.

Hence why I said "this offseason." Those are also two things we saw coming all year long. Or at least I did. Not so much for Nashville. So haha at their surprise misfortune.

It's not like he didn't even offer these guys contracts or try to acquire them. This isn't the summer of 2001. We can't just buy whoever we want any more. There is much more than money involved. You need to relax.
