There are few Red Wing bandwagon fans. Most of us are fans because our parents were fans, and their parents were fans, and their parents were fans... etc. That kind of tradition and connection to the family stays with you no matter where you live or how long it's been since the last Stanley Cup. Something you can't relate to. The Preds if anyone, could be described as having bandwagon fans since their popularity has no doubt spiked being that they have a chance to do something these playoffs for once and they have brand new disgusting mustard yellow jerseys that you all will delusionally buy.

Honestly, I think there will be tons of talk about this going on when it is the offseason... but yea obviously his ankle is still not at 100% but it's not just his play that benefits the team. He is like a 2nd coach on the ice when he plays.

Why is it that in the playoffs people feel the need to start a thread on the first thing that comes to mind? Seriously, I know it happens but in the playoffs it is far more frequent...

Could we have had any worse luck during yesterdays game? It's a miracle the Red Wings bench didn't spontaneously catch fire during the game. Terrible news but Helm is a tough SOB and he will be ready for next year no doubt.

Play for the initials on the sleeve and play like it could be your last Stanley Cup playoffs ever. Good things will happen.

Set the tone for the series right off the puck drop and get a quick goal in the first 5 minutes. If they manage that, I will be confident for the rest of the game and the series. Wings take this one 3-2

Oh man don't even get me started. I'm about as big a Tiger fan as a Wings fan and this team looks lethal. Miggy could have career numbers the way he has started the season... and that's saying something. I honestly think he is a better all around hitter than Pujols. Obviously we won't go 162-0 but the Tigers ability to come back at any time is unreal. It's going to be a fun summer.

In my honest opinion. I think the Wings have a good chance at winning it all. Realistically, any team in the playoffs does and it's only a matter of playing well at the right times. We have at times the best top 6 in the game and if they start firing on all cylinders, nobody can stop them. It's going to be tough and they NEED to stay healthy during the entire run but by no means is it out of the question. It's going to boil down to how bad this team wants it. How bad they want to possibly send Lids out on top and I'll be there the whole way cheering them on and believing until the end. And if they don't get it done, I'll just say 2013 Stanley Cup Champions sounds better anyways LGW!!!

I can't help but root for Florida as well but I think NJ will take it in 6. They looked solid the other day.

I'd rather take our chances with the Preds and minimize travel. If we can't beat them, we weren;t going far anyways and if we can beat them, the less travel will help in the next round. I still think with our experience, we could manage a 6 or 7 game series win with or without home ice against Nashville.

Absolutely. That is exactly the kind of effort we will need from him in the playoffs and it should be no surprise if he turns it on like that. Those weren't cheap goals either.

Yea I would sure say so. Which is still why I think Mursak should be playing over Emmerton but oh well. At least that is a little better then the ESPN power rankings which have actually been decent all year but recently have been a bit off IMO. But I don't expect much from ESPN in the first place.

Huge game would be an understatement. Playing them on the road will show where this teams head is really at heading into the playoffs. I'm gonna be optimistic and say 3-2 Wings.
