Anybody see the interview with Roloson after the game? He must be a pretty superstitious guy. Darren Pang was interviewing him and asked Roli if he knew what his record was in games facing elimination or something of the sort and it is 5-0. Roloson said he didn't want to know and not to tell him. Darren Pang said okay I won't tell you but it's unblemished and right after that Roloson knocked on his head as the interview continued. I thought it was pretty funny to see him do that. Hopefully he can keep that record unblemished in game 7 and send the Pens to the golf course.

Quick has the ability to stand on his head like that every now and then but he has trouble putting games back to back like that. The Kings can't expect to win the next game if they give up another 50+ shots like they did tonight. I'd like to see this go 7 games as well but the Kings will have to play better for sure. Niemi looks suspect though.

Significantly more than the Coyotes or us? I'm going to assume you mean the Yotes because we could outscore the Sharks if we needed too. As long as everyone keeps playing like they did in the first series and doesn't let down because our leading scorer is back, then I don't think there are really any negatives for this team at this point.

There is so much pressure in the playoffs though and expectations were high for him. His rookie year when he started playing great, everyone was waiting for him to level off and he really had no pressure and could just go out there and play which he did very well. Those were no doubt great games but a Red Wing goalie is judged on his post season performances.

I am shocked Howard has only 7 votes. These were the best 4 games I have seen him play in a Wings jersey. He looked dominant out there and could have stolen any 4 of those games if he had too. He certainly kept us in games when we could have been down 2 goals in both game 1 and 4. If he plays like this for the next 3 series, he will be a major reason why we win the cup. Really amazing performances and gives me a helluva lot more confidence in him then I had starting the playoffs. Datsyuk is a close second but the thing is, this guy does what he does every single game so I am a little spoiled when I watch him play. I guess Howard just stood out more to me. As it's been said, everyone played great this series. No true single player could be awarded series MVP.

A 4 game series isn't indicative of what kind of goalie Bryz is. I don't think his performance these playoffs will really hurt how much he will make next year if he decides to stay in the NHL somewhere. He is a great goaltender and with the right team (the current Yotes/Jets team is not going to cut it) he can take them to a Cup.

Link This would be just another notch on his belt if he got it. Also would be cool since it's rare for a defenseman to win this trophy. All in all it doesn't really matter to me if he wins or loses but why not add another trophy to the case for the greatest defenseman the NHL has ever seen. EDIT: My bad... I would throw down any sum of money to go to this. Also Wings vs Leafs would be the best match up but I agree that probably won't work. The Wild, Rangers, or Blues would be alright.

Someone on the Coyote boards was saying they should let Doan go to a contender because he has paid his dues with this team. They can retire his number and all that. I think they should as well but I think Doan himself has said he wants to retire a Coyote/Jet.

Who says the Sharks are even going to advance? The Kings could easily be up 2-0 in that series. Playing against the Nucks as the underdog in my opinion would be an advantage for the Wings. They will be focused and if Howard plays like he has recently which is as good as I've ever seen him play then they have a very good chance of making it to the final. Staying healthy is also a key.

Yea, great pass to Mule up the middle too. He's been fine. Great game for the Wings. You gotta love that killer instinct they are showing right now. Hopefully we don't even mess around and call it a series on Wednesday.

That shot of his is why he is one of my favorite Wings. I don't care what he does during the season if he finishes like that all playoffs. He just doesn't look right with the visor though. Hopefully that comes off after the stitches heal.
