I, for one, still think we can win this. OK..crappy first period. But we still have a lot of hockey to play and THEY only scored one goal. If we can calm the game down and get some control back, we can win! Staying positive! And I have the full on montage of wings in my living room, so the hockey gods should start smiling down on us now.

Mac played in game one because Franzen wasn't back yet. He didn't need to play yesterday to get his name on the cup

Here's my clarity.. Each one of Sid's 82+ games may have helped him achieve that point count you hold in such high regard, but.. right now, at this stage of the game, his numbers doen't mean sh*t. Isn't this what they play for all year? The SCF? Your right, in 10 years the stat books may show how great Sid really is, but if he can't get the job done in the finals, what does it really matter. The difference between Crosby and Zetterberg is the ability to get the job done. And..at this stage of the game, Z is winning that battle. And honestly, the fact that right now Crosby has 24 points, and Z has 23 does nothing but prove my point, considering that Crosby's sole purpose is to get the puck in the net. Z is running toe to toe with the "Face of the NHL", and yet when he's not setting up plays and scoring goals, he's shutting down Crosby. We all have our teams, our players and our opinions. I respect yours, but I live in the now. Right now, today, I don't care who will be great in ten years. I don't care who had how many points. I care about watching the Wings hoist the cup, and honestly, Zetterberg has given the Wings a much better chance of doing that than Sid has given the Pens. That, to me, makes Z the best player in the NHL today.

Not sure if you've seen it yet, but Babs postgame was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. His smirks at the Therrien obstruction comments were priceless. I LMAO.

Personally, I could care less what Burnside or any other analyst says about Detroit, the Pens or the series. I would rather have them spout about how great the Pens and Crosby are while watching them lose their shot at the cup than have them spew that bulls*** and have it be true. Fact is, we're up 2-0. not them. And no article, or analyst can spin that in the Pens favor. That said... I am so effin sick of hearing about Crosby and Malkin. It's only hard for me swallow that bulls*** because our boys work their asses off day in and day out with no recognition. It's the wings that are fighting for the cup. The wings are DOING THEIR JOBS and SUCCEEDING. In my book, this is the SCF, and that deserves recognition.

I'm glad I am not alone here. The first thing I thought when I saw that hit yesterday was " Kronner's got to stop leaving his feet or he's gonna end up in the box." Don't get me wrong, I love watching him knock opposing players on their asses, but it is getting pretty obvious.
