I was against this signing before the season even started. That doesn't mean though, that I'm happy with how he's been playing. I said that while I wished he wasn't here, I hoped he'd be productive so that he didn't negatively impact the team. I can see now, he's doing just that. Bertuzzi is one reason out of a million that explains why we're playing poorly this season.

I don't give one rat's ******** what the Penguins are doing, I'm not a Penguins fan. So I have no reason or need to go to their board. I'm not putting up with this s***.

We need to win games, not "send messages".

That's not going to help us score goals, which is what we need to do to win games.

Excuse me all to hell for being optimistic. Unlike other people here, I can't constantly be doom and gloom all the damn time.

I'm beginning to think maybe it's more than just injuries that has this team down. Maybe they need a motivational speaker to come in and give them a big boost of confidence. Is Richard Simmons available?

Welcome to LGW. Pull up a chair and grab the popcorn. We're not playing well. We all get that. We aren't playing well because we've been besieged by injuries all year, not because we have a full team of players and they're all choking. We don't suck. We're playing hurt and it shows. This too shall pass. Relax.

I realized that after I hit "submit". I didn't feel like going back and editing anything, though. All that being said though, say there really is a crack pipe going around - there's no way I'd be anywhere near it, I don't pollute my body that way.

Are you nuts? I love my Yankees and I love Steinbrenner for what he's done for my Yankees but there's not a snowball's chance in hell this will happen. It doesn't even have to do with the NHL having a salary cap, either. Why would the guy who owns the Yankees buy a Detroit hockey team? Makes no sense. Ron White had a very funny line quite similar to this one. He was talking about someone he knew who was a homophobe and this particular person said something rather stupid and Ron looked at the guy and said "Hey, next time you have a thought....let it go." I think that applies here.

I'm sorry. I'm laughing so hard I don't know whether to call you every 4-letter word in the book or just start crying at the sheer stupidity of it. Trade Nick Lidstrom. Trade him. As in, take him from our team and put him on some other team. That is weapons-grade stupid. No....not even weapons-grade. That is full on Palin-level stupid.

I only make comment toward the "we suck" crowd when it's not warranted. The Wings are not playing to their potential right now, but we've been crippled by injuries. I wouldn't say that we suck. It's not like we have a full team out there and are playing like this. If it tickles your pickle to call that "holier than thou", go for it.

Depressing might have been the wrong word for me to use. Frustrating would be better. As to your point, maybe I don't realize it. That doesn't mean I don't find that frustrating either.

Well we didn't lose two in a row but we have lost a couple games recently that we should have won, tonight included. Funny how my prediction here turned out to be damn near accurate. Just look at the GDT tonight. Lots of "we suck" and other variations on a theme. I hate being right sometimes. Either that or people here are just too predictable.

Some of you are talking like we've lost our last 10 games in a row. Didn't we win our last game? This loss is bad and depressing, but a little perspective would be nice.

What a complete thought. This was certainly disappointing, but there will be other games and we'll win them.

I'm tough enough. I'm not anti-enforcer and I'm not pro-enforcer. I'm pro-whatever will fix what is broken on this team. As for changing my life? Hyperbole much?

I'd like someone to explain how just the mere presence of more enforcers on the team will somehow prevent injuries from occurring. I'm all for whatever will help the team score more goals and provide better defense, but short of leaving these guys on the ice all game acting as bouncers or patrolmen, what exactly will it solve? Say Pavs is rushing down the ice and he's got a clear breakaway, and someone trips him. As a result, his ACL is torn. How would an enforcer keep that from happening? Beating the piss out of the guy the next time he's on the ice? Okay.....now that everyone got to beat off to a fight, how does that alter what happened to Pavs? Oh right it doesn't. The Wings don't need to get "tougher". They need to score goals, they need to shore up their defense, they need to shore up their goaltending. Our players will get injured whether we have a bunch of goons on the ice or not. I frankly don't give a rat's ass if Kenny signs every MMA fighter he can name off the top of his head. I'll root for the Wings anyway, but I'd bet it would be a real s***ty product.

Ah, the truth is revealed. Look, we could dress 5 or 6 Muhammad Ali's every night and if something happened to one of them, you can bet your house that somebody here would be screaming about it. I've seen people getting into arguments in GDTs....for games we won. It doesn't take much to start a *****-a-thon around here. Funny and sad.......try tiring.
