So, HWSNBN has for all intents and purposes, a broken neck? A broken neck that his team's medical staff failed to notice? Okay, I'm not a doctor (though I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express), but how the holy fracking frack do you miss a broken neck? I mean, does Pittsburgh not own any x-ray equipment or MRI equipment? I'm genuinely interested in how something like that could be missed.

Yeah, but there's fun and interesting things to do in Detroit. Especially along the riverfront. My uncle (mom's brother) lives in Columbus and we go up there often to see him - there is f*** all to do there. Seriously. It's not that exciting a place. I can see people not that jazzed up about going to Columbus, Ohio.....but it's not like Detroit is Lincoln, Nebraska in comparison.

Is Detroit ever going to host the ASG again? Last time they did was the year Joe Louis Arena opened. I wasn't even born yet. I mean, wouldn't something like that be a nice boon to the city's economy?

No offense, but that's a dumb, dumb idea. No one is going to choose the Winter Classic over the Super Bowl. Hell, I dislike football, but I watch the Super Bowl every year, because I get free pizza and unlimited Diet Coke at my friend's party. It'll be even worse if you have two teams from the same area playing in each game. As it is, with the Giants in the Super Bowl, if a Rangers game was played the same night, how many people would watch? Probably not many. That's just a regular old hockey game too, not if the Rangers were in the Winter Classic. Keep the two events on different days.

One of the greatest hockey teams ever assembled. When you think about the number of future HOF'ers they had on the ice at any one time, it's insane. That whole season was like Christmas every day for us as fans.

Look at this as good news. We'll finally discover if he has one or not!

My guess is there will be more players on the ice than fans in the seats. I hope we win for the 10 people who show up, all of whom will be Red Wings fans.

This would be much better AND much smarter, but if it's something that will help improve the game, or make it more equitable, it ain't gonna happen. Sucks for the fans.

Basically every GDT is a Pavel Datsyuk appreciation thread. Though I can understand the desire to have a dedicated one. I said this a few seasons ago, I'll say it now, and I'll say it again in another few seasons - Pavel Datsyuk is going to be, when all is said and done, one of the greatest hockey players to EVER put on the Winged Wheel. Period. Yzerman, Howe, Lidstrom, Sawchuk, Lindsay, Delvecchio, Abel, Datsyuk. He belongs in that group. We've been utterly and completely spoiled ******* rotten watching him play all these seasons. Dude's money. Cash money. Cold hard cash money.

Precisely why I've been advocating a complete overhaul of the points system, though I was doing that before this season. There shouldn't be any reason for points awarded to a loss in OT, since there should be no points awarded for any loss, whether it's regulation or otherwise. That's an entirely different thread however, and I don't mean to thread jack. LET'S GO WINGS! BEAT BUFFALO!

Well, I can clear all this up real fast. Hank and I are sorta FWB, so the next time I see him, I'll ask him if he's going anywhere. After he laughs and says he'd never leave me (such a sweetie, that one), I'll say I mean is he leaving the Wings. He'll say no, I'll post it here, and we'll all put this behind us. Done.

Maybe the minus ticks are because this isn't even a rumor, this is unsubstantiated pap.
