I really hope the guys come out less sluggish for this game. I know they're tired and banged up, but we really need to win tonight.

When there's 1 minute left of the clinching game and we have a 4 goal lead......then we can talk about who gets what hardware.

Count me in as not surprised. They want to win, they'll do anything they can in order to do that and if it means spearing someone in the stomach who just had surgery there, then so be it. I don't expect anything less from them. Even though we want to win too, I'd like to think our guys would have the class not to do it to a Penguin if something similar happened to them.

How did we get away with something when there was no call to NOT make? The puck wasn't on the ice, it was on Ozzie's back. The rule states that it's a penalty shot if you put your hand over the puck while it's on the ice in the crease. Hank made a very smart, very heads-up play, but he didn't get away with anything and neither did we. If Crosby had scored on that, we'd be screaming bloody murder that no one tried to get the puck off of Ozzie.

I'm posting this from my new laptop....my sister got a new Macbook today and she gave me her old one. I'm using my other PC for my iPod since it's not Mac-formatted but I'll be grooving on this for a while. Neat-o!

I think it's appropriate for your letters to be long-term players, guys who will be here the entirety of their careers. I won't speculate who will get what because there's no indication that Nick is going anywhere right now. That said, I think the players who choose to spend their whole careers here and in the process take less money than they could get elsewhere because they have a true love for this franchise, should get rewarded with leadership roles. Because that to me shows true character.
